Falk,
CCC can't "bless" the destination, because doing so requires that CCC modify the Preboot volume that is associated with the destination. Because your destination volume is inside of the same APFS container as your current startup disk, System Integrity Protection is preventing changes to that Preboot volume. This scenario is described here in the documentation:
System Integrity Protection prohibits modifications to the current startup disk's Preboot helper partition
You should clone to a different disk entirely, or you could instead create a separate partition on the startup disk, e.g.:
- Open Disk Utility
- Choose "Show all devices" from the View menu
- Click on the top-most parent device for your Macintosh HD volume
- Click the "Partition" button in the toolbar
- When Disk Utility tries to discourage you from doing this, click the "Add partition" button
- Click the "+" button to add a second APFS-formatted partition on the startup disk
Let us know if you have additional questions.
Best wishes,
Rob
