Aber die kleine 5400er Krücke ist wirklich mies. Ich weiß wovon ich rede, denn ich hatte (als kurzen Übergangsrechner) ebenfalls eine solche in einem iMac 2015 verbaut. Grauenvoll! Dann wenigstens ein großes Fusion Drive.Nichtsdestotrotz sollte der Rechner damit einigermaßen laufen und bevor jetzt wieder die Keule mit der ssd rausgeholt wird, hier bei mir laufen Rechner mit hdd mit einer vernünftigen Geschwindigkeit, zwar kein Vergleich zu denen mit ssds, aber man kann damit arbeiten.

Ich wollte das ganze Etrecheck Protokoll hier anhängen, aber das pdf war ausgegraut und ließ sich nicht anhängen.
Das mag sein, bei der Zuverlässigkeit sind 2,5"-Laptopfestplatten jedoch am allerletzten Platz, und ich glaube kaum dass eine 25 Jahre alte Festplatte noch einwandfrei funktioniert. Festplatten haben nämlich die Tücke, dass sie fehlerhafte Bereiche haben können ohne dass du es merkst - bis dann auf einmal das eine odere andere wichtige Foto oder Dokument nicht mehr öffnet und irreparabel beschädigt ist.Ich habe seit 25 Jahren diverse Macs und noch nie musste eine HDD ersetzt werden.
Auch hier nochmal: Vorsicht, damit sind deine Daten nicht sicher gelöscht. Vorher unbedingt die Filevault-Verschlüsselung aktivieren.Variante 1:
Zurückschicken: AppleID abmelden, iMac mit cmd-r starten, Festplatte mit dem Festplattendienstprogramm löschen und dann macOS neu installieren. Wenn er fertig ist und nach der Sprache fragt, übers Apple-Menü ausschalten.
Dann einen mit mindestens "FusionDrive" kaufen, besser reine SSD.

Hab mal gegoogelt. Die Seagte SD4000DM000 war 2018 die fehlerhafteste Platte. Die ist aber 3,5"
Es wird also immer am Einzelfall einer Produktion liegen, nicht an der Bauform.
Könnte auch daran liegen, dass dort eher keine 2,5"-Platten eingesetzt werden?
