macOS Sierra Festplatte füllt sich von allein

Ich habe ein alten iMac (late 09! mit Sierra). Die Festplatte (1 TB SSD) wird ständig als voll angezeigt. 671 GB belegt das System?!?! Ich schmeiße Daten weg oder lagere sie auf meinen Server aus. Nicht lange danach ist wieder die FP voll. Gerade 1/2 GB entsorgt, aber nur 100 MB frei. Ich bin ratlos...
 
Ich lese mich gerade zu APFS und Snapshots ein. Ich bin mit den Begriffen noch nicht konfrontiert worden. Welche Auswirkungen hat dies?
 
Nein, kann ich nicht machen. (Ich habe den Punkt "Darstellung" nicht, also der erste Schritt bei dieser Anleitung)
 
Beim Speicherplatz belegt jetzt das System 673,45 GB (also mehr als zuvor) und hat jetzt 117 MB frei. Ich habe aber nur mit Safari nach diesen APFS gesucht etc.
 
Die Snapshots kann man doch erst bei Montery anzeigen.
Er muss ins Terminal.
diskutil apfs listSnapshots /
 
Das Terminal gibt folgendes zurück: diskutil: did not recognize APFS verb "listSnapshots"; type "diskutil apfs" for a list
 
Das wird mir angezeigt, wenn ich diskutil apfs ins Terminal eingebe:

Usage: diskutil [quiet] ap[fs] <verb> <options>


where <verb> is as follows:





list (Show status of all current APFS Containers)


deleteContainer (Delete an APFS Container and reformat old disks to HFS)


deleteVolume (Remove an APFS Volume from its APFS Container)


unlockVolume (Unlock an encrypted APFS Volume which is locked)





diskutil apfs <verb> with no options will provide help on that verb
 
tmutil = TimeMachine?
Time Machine habe ich nicht verwendet. Mein Backup habe ich immer händisch gemacht.
 
tmutil heißt der Befehl im Terminal mit dem man mit der entsprechenden Option Snapshots anzeigen lassen kann.
