Kurze Frage an alle die es wissen:

Habe vor kurzem noch ein gebrauchtes MBP gekauft und noch einen 2GB RAM von DSP bestellt. Jetzt habe ich das Problem das ich nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm hab wenn mehr als 2GB drin sind, egal wie sie angeordnet sind. Der neue Riegel geht, aber nur wenn er allein drin ist. Soweit ich weiß unterstützt das "alte" MBP doch 3GB RAM oder?

Muss ich irgendwo ein Update machen wie früher mit dem Bios bei PCs?

Bin grad etwas überfragt. Danke

Ich glaub, Du hast Dich bei der Anzahl der RAM-Threads verzaehlt. Es muessten noch deutlich mehr sein

Was bedeutet bei Dir 'altes MBP'? Welche CPU, welches Baujahr?

5 Sekunden Google bringen folgendes Ergebnis:
"On July 13, 2006, APC Magazine reported that:

“It seems that it is not possible,” said Transcend [a memory manufacturer] spokesperson Marielle Bonne, speaking to APC from Taiwan after the company mistakenly issued a press release saying the RAM would work in Apple’s Intel-based notebooks.

“After checking, here is the information I got from our tech support: Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro (both with Intel Core) can only support 2 GB memory max (1 GB memory for each slot, total 2 slots available).

“Therefore it’s not possible to put 2 x 2 GB for a total memory capacity of 4 GB in Apple MacBook Pro or MacBook.”

This is no doubt a disappointment to those interested in installing more than the officially supported 2 GB of total RAM in the MacBook Pro "Core Duo"."

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht genau wie alt es ist. Drinnen klebte ein Aufkleber über der SN irgenwas mit Januar 2007. Es ist ein MBP17" mit einem 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo.

Grrrr.. Habs doch geahnt. Dabei hatte ich extra den Daggl vorher gefragt ob es 3GB unterstützt. Naja was solls. Reicht ja grad so 2GB.

Oder einfach mal in den Mactracker schauen.
Das MBP 17" 2,16GHz kann max. 2 GB 667ner verkraften.
Da wirst Du es wohl kaum hinkriegen mehr anzusprechen.
