Neue imacs vorgestellt

Was mich total aufregt ist die kleine Festplatte von dem 24" Modell. Warum nicht 500GB als Defaultplatte für das 24" Modell und
750GB für das Übermodell?
 
Genau, wieso kein Raidsystem in allen iMacs mit mehreren Terrabytes. Herrjeh ... 500GB sind doch mehr als ok. Die neuen Preise und Ausstattungen sind absolut ok.

Kannst doch BTO ordern & mit 40,- Euro Aufpreis (500GB) finde ich das gar nicht mal so überteuert,
im Vergleich dazu was Apple sonst immer extra verlangt hat.
 
Jetzt fühl ich mich mit meinem alten, schneeweißen iMac richtig alt :(.
Aber ich liebe ihn :)!
 
Hier in neuseeland spart man sich schon einiges mehr.
Ich müsste für den kl. 24" umgerechnet 1405 Euro zahlen.

Nur, wie krieg ich den nach 3 Jahren oder so wieder nach Deutschland?:noplan:

Naja, aber die 250er Platte ist schon sehr schwach. Apple hätte doch zumindest die 320er vom stärkeren 20er ins Einsteigermodell wandern lassen können. Das ist nun die gleiche Ausstattung wie schon das komplette letzte Jahr. 250GB sind derzeit ein Witz! Und die BTO Kosten auf größere Platten sowieso. Eine 1000GB Platte kostet keine 120 Euro mehr (Samsung F1) und da zahlt man für die 500er schon 80 Euro... :rolleyes:

PS: schon klar, Apple war und wird immer knausrig sein aber hin und wieder wundere ich mich schon (wie bei den Combo-Drives (MB, Mini) und 1GB default RAM,...). :hamma:

EDIT: ich finde das Update schon gut. Von 2.0 auf 2.4 und gleichzeitig um 200 Euro im Preis gefallen wobei auch noch das Combo ersetzt wurde (anscheinend) dennoch muss ich die Festplattensituation im iMac wo man sie auch nicht einfach wechseln kann kritisieren... ;)

320GB sind bei Notebooks heute fast schon Standart und
die werden bei Apple beim 24" Übermodell verbaut ...

Montevina platform (2008)

The code-name Montevina refers to the fifth-generation Centrino platform, now formally named Centrino 2 to avoid confusion with previous Centrino platforms. It is scheduled for release at Computex Taipei 2008, taking place on June 3-7, 2008[8]. Montevina will support Penryn, Intel's 45nm die-shrink version of Core 2 processors.

The Montevina platform consists of:

* Processors - Socket B / Socket P / Micro-FCBGA

The Montevina platform is branded as "Centrino 2 vPro" when combined with security and manageability features built-in technologies.
