Jepp, das funktioniert....sogar mit Windows 2000 Rechnern. Hab bei uns in der Firma schon mehrere alte Rechner auf diese Weise virtualisiert und die (physikalischen) Rechner anschließend verschrottet.
Mit Vista hab ichs zwar noch nicht probiert, sollte lt. Vmware aber auch klappen.
Einfach mal probieren.
