Systemabsturz wegen Word for Mac?

Hallo,

ich hab einen iMac (Max OS X, Version 10.6.8), der mir seit geraumer Zeit – immer mal wieder – mit dieser Nachricht Angst macht:

Der Bilschirm friert ein, das Display wird schwarz – ich muss den Computer neu starten. Dateien, die zuvor nicht gesichert wurden, sind verloren oder verstümmelt.

Das hat vor ein paar Monaten angefangen, ist zwei, drei Mal innerhalb von zwei Wochen passiert. Ich habe mir aber nichts weiter dabei gedacht, weil der Systemabsturz dann für eine längere Zeit nicht mehr aufgetreten ist. Ich hatte danach auch wochenlang Ruhe. Kürzlich ist es aber wieder passiert, gleich zwei Mal hintereinander: Hatte dabei nur die Programme Firefox und Word an. Dann gestern wieder! Diesmal war nur das Word-Programm angeschaltet. Daher gehe ich davon aus, dass Word der Übeltäter ist.

Ich finde die Sache unheimlich, zumal ich jetzt mit dem Schreiben meiner Abschlussarbeit beginnen werde – hat hier jemand eine Idee, wie sich das Ganze beheben lässt? (Ich habe mich an Word als Schreibprogramm gewöhnt und würde gern weiterhin damit arbeiten. Layout mache ich mit InDesign, keine Angst.)

Für Hinweise wäre ich dankbar!

Diesmal war nur das Word-Programm angeschaltet. Daher gehe ich davon aus, dass Word der Übeltäter ist

Eher unwahrscheinlich, dass Word für Kernel Panics (Ursache jener Meldung) verantwortlich ist, da es selber (und MSO überhaupt) keine Kern-Erweiterungen platziert.

Du könntest die panic.logs (die Ursache für deine Meldung dort oben) hier mal einhängen und den Mitschnitt aus der Konsole (Anwendungen->Dienstprogramme->Konsole) da die Systemmeldungen mitprotokolliert und somit die Fehlersuche vereinfacht.

Ich schließe mich an und halte es für sehr unwahrscheinlich das Word die Ursache ist. Und ja. Computer können von einem Moment auf den anderen den Geist aufgeben. Aber vielleicht finden wir ja heraus woran es liegt, mit der Hilfe von den Fehlermeldungen die zur Diagnose da sind.

Es ist vorhin wieder passiert. Wieder waren als einzige Programme Firefox und Word an.
Ich habe den "Bericht", der nach einem erwzungenen Neustart automatisch an Apple versendet wird, kopiert.
(Sind damit die panic.logs gemeint, die du erwähnst?)

Ich hoffe, damit lässt sich etwas anfangen …

Jetzt habe ich auch in die Konsole hineingeschaut (siehe unten.)
Ich verstehe davon ja nichts, aber zwei Dinge machen mich beim Drüberlesen stutzig:
Da ist wiederholt von Firefox die Rede. Und dann von einem Wacom Tablet-Treiber – interessanterweise benutze och kein Wacomtablet; ein Freund von mir hat nur mal kurz eines angeschlossen, das ist aber schon eine Ewigkeit her.
Hat das irgendwas zu bedeuten?

Eine der Plugins für Firefox ist nicht in Ordnung.
Du hast jetzt Wacom Treiber auf dem System und die könnten, da sie Kernel Erweiterungen sind für den Absturz verantwortlich sein.

Das hilft schonmal weiter. Am besten postest du noch 2 mehr von den Berichten. Und Jupp, das sind die panic.logs die ich meinte. Da wird dein WLAN-Modul erwähnt. Ein Bericht ist aber noch nicht unbedingt aussagekräftig.

Der WACOM Treiber wirds vermutlich nicht sein, auch wenn er sich irgendwo auf deinem System herumschleicht, in dem Absturzbericht steht unter "loaded modules", dass er nicht geladen ist. Nicht geladene Treiber machen normalerweise keine Probleme..
Du kannst auch alles in eine Textdatei kopieren oder auf pastebin.com, dropbox, icloud hochladen, falls es hier nicht rein passt. Gut wäre noch mehr von der Konsole, da doch schon sinnvolles in einem kurzen Ausschnitt drin war. Am besten auch einen Mitschnitt direkt vor dem Absturz, evlt ist da ja noch etwas besonderes.

vielen Dank für die Erste Hilfe! Mein Mitbewohner hat jetzt einen EDV-Spezialisten mit nach Hause gebracht und der nimmt sich gerade dem Problem an. Xentric, deine Vermutung scheint sich zu bestätigen, das Problem liegt wohl tatsächlich auch am wlan-Modul. Ich denken, wir bekommen die Sache jetzt in den Griff.
