Suche nach Billig vs. teuer Diskussion

Da gabs hier doch mal einen Verweis auf einen Studie? eines englischen Ökonoms(?) aus dem Anfang des Jahrhunderts, der aussagte, dass billig auf Dauer teuer ist oder sowas in der Art.

Leider finde ich das hier per Suche nicht mehr.
Vielleicht kann mir mal jemand auf die Sprünge helfen.....
