Path Finder 4 und Berechtigung

Ich verwende den neuen Path Finder 4 und bin eigentlich sehr zufrieden. Jedoch habe ich ein Problem.

Ich bin als normaler User am Mac angemeldet. Wenn ich nun z.B. ein Programm in den Programmordner verschiebe bittet mich der "Normale" Finder immer mich zu identifizieren. Path Finder tut dies nicht, er gibt maximal eine Fehlermeldung raus, das man keine Schreibrechte hat. Das nervt etwas.

Wie ist das bei euch?

In den foren auf der pathfinder-homepage wird dieses Thema scheinbar ausschließlich diskutiert - such mal dort nach "authenticate"
Ein relativ neuer Beitrag dazu, wo auch Abhilfe beschrieben werden, ist:

Dort ist auch eine Stellungnahme zitiert, wo die Entwickler sagen warum es (angeblich) dieses feature nicht gibt:

We've asked Apple about this repeatedly for a while but no dice. As you can probably see, it's a pain in the ass. Apple is very stubborn sometimes about making things easier for Cocoa developers...

So what we need to do to get this feature to work is to somehow create a brand new application / thread, allow it to become superuser to perform whatever it is that you wanted to do, and then kill it once the task has been completed.I think what we might end up doing is rewriting the code that Steve is currently using to handle permission changes to work for both this and authenticating for admin access.

Hallo,

ich hatte Pathfinder im Einsatz (Demo) und fand die Software wirklich klasse, allerdings gab es ein Problem, welches ich irgendwie nicht gelöst bekam. Wollte ich ein Podcast (oder Musikstück) aus iTunes auf meinen Desktop ziehen, dann ging das nicht! Weiss jemand Abhilfe?

Ach ja, ich habe übrigens immer den Orginalfinder beendet!
