Was mich positiv stimmt ist das Alex von WebIS wohl auch was für das iPhone machen will. Pocketinformant auf dem Teil und alles is bestens.

Joa sowas wie Audium wäre schon echt klasse muss ich sagen finds nur doof, das man dann die ganze zeit das programm offen lassen muss könnte wenn es im hintergrund läuft so wie bei mail oder safari die anzahl an nicht gelesen nachrichten anzeigen

Sorry to debunk your article but I'm a programmer and I just tried it and you can keep your app running in the background in the normal way ApolloIM and iFob do it. I.e. overriding applicationSuspend.

So IM apps will still work in the background no worries there. The real issue is if Apple will remove them from the app store if they figure out your app does it. I honestly don't think they'll care.

Ich erhoffe mir von den Entwicklern:

a) einen RSS-Reader wie z.B. "Vienna", der selbstständig eine Feed-Liste in regelmäßigen Abständen abruft und mir neue Beiträge wie Mail meldet

b) IMAP idle für Mail (wobei ich befürchte, dass das wahrscheinlich nur von Apple selbst und nicht über das SDK kommen kann)
