MacBook + Roland EXR 7s: Connect = ?

Hallo,

habe vor, für den unprofessionellen Heimbereich zu Weihnachten ein Roland EXR-7s Keyboard anzuschaffen, mit dem Hintergedanken, es via Garageband oder anderen Tools zum Erstellen umfangreichere Musik-Arrangements zu erstellen.

Welche zusätzliche HW brauche ich beim MacBook bzw. auch MacBook Pro, um die beiden aneinander zu koppeln?

Wie klappt die Integration in Garageband, Rob Papen's BLUE etc.? Hat da jemand Erfahrungen?

Insbesondere die Mac-Seite ist mir etwas unbekannt, was Schnittstellen etc. angeht...

Du brauchst ein Midi-Interface. Das läuft normalerweise über den USB Port.

Was ist "Rob Papen's BLUE etc."?

EDIT: Das Ding hat ja schon einen USB-Port. Dann würde ich mal auf der Roland-Seite nach Mac-Kompatibilität Ausschau halten.

Tut es da jedes Midi Interface? Ist Firewire besser geeignet als USB?
