Nach dem Start erscheint ganz kurz die Menüleiste der App, dann stürzt sie ab.
Danach kommt der obligatorische Bug-Screen mit
Kontakte wurde unerwartet beendet.
(Ignorieren / Bericht / Erneut öffnen)

Weiß jemand, was da los ist?

Avast rausschmeissen? Hmmm... ist seit Jahren im Einsatz auf allen meinen Kisten.
Ich zögere, weil ich eigentlich gute Erfahrungen damit gemacht habe.
Es gab auch nie Probleme, dies ist das erste Mal...
Ursache muss das letzte Update sein.
 
Ich würde Avast auch erst gar nicht installieren und dir empfehlen, das zumindest vorübergehend mal komplett zu löschen und auf 10.14.2 zu aktualisieren.

Und wenn das Update auf 10.14.1 wirklich das Problem war; warum laufen dann die anderen Maschinen fehlerfrei? Ich würde ohne Avast mal testen.

Aus dem Backup kannst du den Zeitpunkt vor dem Update wieder herstellen?
 
Ich versuche es mal mit 10.14.2 - evtl. hat Apple ja was behoben.
Wenn das nichts hilft, mache ich ein Restore - ich habe Backups von jedem Stand.
