Ausgerechnet der kleinste der österreichischen Mobilfunkanbieter, 3 (der zum Hutchison-Konzern gehört), kündigt als erster ein Paket mit dem iPad an, siehe:

I actually just hoped for a funny quote from Berthold Thoma, the CEO of Hutchison Austria – what I got instead can best be described as bombshell.
He stated that his carrier will offer the iPad right from the start:

In case anyone of you speaks German – the original announcement went like this:

So wird der iPad in Kombination mit dem 3Data Laptop-Tarif mit 333 Euro-Rabatt angeboten werden. Mit 3Data Laptop gibt es monatlich 5 GB Datenvolumen um nur 29,90 Euro monatlich. Das Bundle wird mit dem Österreichstart des iPad bei ausgesuchten Vertriebspartnern verfügbar sein.
Da die erste Version des iPad weder über ein integriertes UMTS-Modem, noch über USB-Anschlüsse verfügt, bietet es 3 gemeinsam mit dem mobilem WLAN-Modem Huawei i-Mo an.
