IMac 5K 4.2 - 16 GB Ram langsam

Hallo zusammen

Ich habe vor ein paar Wochen mein neuer IMac bekommen, bin aber ehrlich gesagt ein wenig enttäuscht von der Leistung. Ich habe mit dem neuen meinen alten Late 12 ersetzt.

Beispiel:
Import in Lightroom von ein paar Bilder max. 40. Der Lüfter läuft schon nach ein paar Bilder an die in die 1:1 Vorschau gerendert werden müssen.

Ich gehe davon aus das dies nicht ganz normal ist, dass machte der alte nicht viel schlechter.

Könnte es an den RAM liegen? Kann mir das aber bei der kleinen Menge an Fotos fast nicht vorstellen.

Jemand eine Idee warum das verhalten so ist?

Gib mal ein paar Infos zu deinem System. Ein Flaschenhals könnte zum Beispiel eine HDD bzw. ein Fusion Drive sein.
 
Falls keine SSD drin ist -> Fehlkauf. Aktuelle Systeme sind mit einer HDD zu langsam.

Was soll sich groß geändert haben in diesem Fall? Es ist immer noch ein sehr enges Gehäuse mit sehr heißen Komponenten drin. Bilder importieren und rendern erhitzt nunmal das Innenleben. Von 2012 auf 2017 sind die Teile nicht Kühler geworden, wenig Platz ist immer noch gleich wenig Platz wie vor 5 Jahren. CPU ist natürlich schneller geworden und muss vielleicht nicht mehr so viel leisten um die selbe Arbeit zu verrichten - aber warm wirds dennoch. Und dann sollte gekühlt werden. Lüfter sind nicht unsere Feinde.
 
Ist normal der Lüfter beim Import von Lightroom lauter wird. Ist bei meinem iMac Late 2015 auch so und habe ich schon öfter im Internet gelesen.

... falls nur eine HDD verbaut ist bzw. ein FusionDrive, dann würd' ich mir eine Samsung EVO 860 1/2/4TB SSD kaufen und beim AASP einbauen lassen; wird so um die € 100.- kosten. :)

Verbaut ist eine 1TB SSD.

Natürlich kommt mir das System nicht nur bei LR träge vor, auch sonst habe ich das Gefühl das ich den Beachball zu oft sehe.
Viel ist noch nicht auf dem System.

Genau, denn das ist ja der Vorteil, wenn man es machen lässt, anstatt sich selbst daran zu versuchen, wenn man denn nicht ganz so geschickt ist, mit derlei Umbauten.

Ist aber im vorliegenden Falle sowieso nicht weiter interessant/relevant, da der TE schon eine originale Apple PCIe Samsung (?) SSD mit 1TB verbaut hat. :)

Der Report sieht auf den ersten Blick durch und durch sauber aus. Kein(e) Adware/Virenschutzsoftware/Optimierungstools etc. und CPU und RAM sind quasi durch und durch im Leerlauf. Verwirrend, mit deiner Beschreibung zusammen; an der SSD/CPU/RAM kann's kaum liegen - ggf. wirklich ein Hardwaredefekt?

Was sagt denn der Apple Hardwaretest/Apple Diagnostics (Mac ausschalten, Tastatur am besten per Kabel verbinden und die Taste "D" drücken und halten bevor du den Mac einschaltest/während der Mac bootet)?

... kann natürlich auch einfach sein, dass du voll und ganz die sch***s Software Adobes zu spüren kriegst, die so ganz und gar nicht für potente Hardware optimiert ist; unter macOS angeblich noch weniger als unter Windows, wenn man sich an den Aussagen der Pros orientiert.
