SpyderX und MBP 16" 2021 inkompatibel?

Ich wollte wie üblich mein neues MBP 16" 2021 mit dem SpyderX Pro Kalibrieren.

Die jeweils neuesten Software-Versionen sind installiert (macOS Monterey 12.1 + SpyderX_Pro_macOS_v5.8)

Während die Kalibrierung auf einem MBP M1 2020 unter Big Sur noch problemlos funktionierte, bricht bei dieser Kombination reproduzierbar ab, und zwar immer beim Punkt Weißabgleich: der Bildschirm verfärbt sich und die Kalibrierung bricht mit einer Fehlermeldung ab.

TrueTone und automatische Helligkeitsregelung in der Display-Steuerung sind natürlich ausgeschaltet. Funktioniert aber auch mit aktivierten Funktionen nicht, aus Neugierde bereits getestet.

Hat noch jemand dieses Problem? Fehlermeldung an Datacolor ist raus.

Wird wohl direkt an SpyderX liegen. Die Software ist von Juni diesen Jahres und nur bis Big Sur freigegeben. Da hilft wohl wirklich nur den Support anzuschreiben und auf ein schnelles Update zu hoffen.

Ich habe Nachricht vom Datacolor-Support bekommen. Fazit: mit den neuen 14“ und 16“ Macbook Pros ist eine Kalibrierung der neuartigen Apple-Displays mit den bisherigen SpyderX-Produkten jetzt und in Zukunft nicht mehr möglich. Die können jetzt nur noch für externe Displays eingesetzt werden.

Das wird dann mit Sicherheit auch die neuen Displays der kommenden iMacs betreffen, die ja die gleiche Display-Technologie verwenden sollen!

Apple has prevented the calibration of this new MacBook Pro. All calibration solutions you will find on the market are effect by this.

Apple released a statement (Oct. 27th) on the Fine tune calibration of the MacBook Pro 2021 with the new Liquid Retina XDR Display. This fine tune can be done using certain spectroradiometer that start at around 15000 USD / 12000 Euro.

If you have saved a profile, please delete the profile from this folder. Be sure to empty the contents of your trash after you move the profile to the trash: To find your profiles on a Mac OS, click on your Finder and the Go menu at the top of your screen. Once you have your Go menu open, press the Alt/Option key and the Library will appear. The Library is hidden by default in recent Mac OS versions. Click on Library -> ColorSync -> Profiles to find your profiles.

The calibration of external monitors is not effected.

Ich bin mir recht sicher, dass man auch nach wie mit dem SpyderX profilieren kann. Kalibrieren nicht, aber das ist ja auch gar nicht der Einsatzbereich des SypderX

Probiere doch mal displayCal aus -> https://displaycal.net und nutze dabei die von mir für Apple Silicon angepasst Version von ArgyllCMS -> https://displaycal.net
