Danke für den Tipp. Den Resetknopf habe ich gefunden. Aber: Weil meine Akkus leer sind, ist dieser Reset-Start nicht durchzuführen.
Kann mir jemand sagen, wo sich die Plus- und die Minusklemme am Akku befinden? Wenn ich das wüsste, könnte ich den Akku mit einer gewöhnlichen Stromquelle vorsichtig aufladen, und dann das Powerbook booten.
Das Inverter-Board hat mit dem Bildschirm und nicht mit der Lade-Elektronik zu tun.
Merkwürdig, bei meinem alten Wallstreet klappt ein Reset-Start auch bei leerem oder entnommenm Akku, sofern das Netzteil dran hängt.
Selbst die BackUp Batterie darf leer sein.
Apple empfiehlt übrigens, Akkus spätestens nach einer Woche wieder nachzuladen, wenn sie im Powerbook bleiben. Besser ist es, sie rauszunehmen.
Hier die "offizielle" Vorgehensweise bei Ladeproblemen:

1. Verify battery is charged by pressing the level indicator button on the battery. If the battery is charged, one or more status lights on the battery will glow.
2. Reseat battery to make sure battery is mating with contacts on I/O logic board.
3. Try battery in opposite expansion bay.
4. Try known-good, firmly seated, charged battery. Try the same battery in opposite expansion bay.
5. Turn off the computer. Press the reset button on the back of the unit, wait five seconds, then press the Power key.
6. Try known-good power adapter.
7. Replace power supply card.
8. Replace I/O logic board.
••• Battery won’t charge
