kennt jemand tools um das unter linux zu aktivieren?

ich will nicht, dass noch vom dvd/cdrom gebootet werden kann,
sobald linux drauf ist

hier debian sarge ppc. ibook G4.

(macos haben wir leider nicht und ich will diesen rotzlöffel daran hindern, dass er nochmal das linux mit irgendwelchen vermurksten, binarverpatchten und illegalen
tiger dvd-images aus p2p quellen kaputtmacht, grrr )

To enable the Open Firmware password, boot your system and press the Apple+Option+O+F key combination. This will bring you to a simple text prompt. Type the word password and enter your password twice. Then type setenv security-mode <mode> where <mode> is none, command, or full. Finally, once this is complete type reset-all to reboot the system and save your changes.

To revert the changes, boot into Open Firmware and enter setenv security-mode none and reboot using the reset-all command.

das ist ja ganz nett aber booten soll der user schon ohne können, nur für dvd-boot und für die firmware solls sperre geben..

das wäre dann mode command, richtig?

Bei Command bootet der Rechner ohne Passwort. Du musst das Passwort dann nur eingeben wenn Du innerhalb der Open Firmware einen Befehl absetzten möchtest.
