Hallo
Ich habe eine Anleitung gefunden, wie man NAP beim Start eines G4 Mac aktiviert. Wenn man es entsprechend ändert, so dass NAP beim Systemstart deaktiviert wird, müsste es sinnvoll für zirpende G5 Macs verwendbar sein, schaut es euch mal an.

Alternativ habe ich noch dieses für G5 Macs gefunden:
A startup item might help:
% sudo su
% mkdir -p /Library/StartupItems/QuietPS
% cd /Library/StartupItems/QuietPS
% cat > QuietPS
#!/bin/sh
##
# QuietPS - turn off G5 "napping" to make the power supply shut up
##
. /etc/rc.common
hwprefs="/usr/bin/hwprefs"
StartService ()
{
ConsoleMessage "Quieting power supply"
$hwprefs cpu_nap=false
}
StopService ()
{
ConsoleMessage "Stopping quiet power supply"
$hwprefs cpu_nap=true
}
RestartService () { StopService; StartService; }
RunService "$1"
(type control-d at this point to end the file)
% cat > StartupParameters.plist
{
Description = "Quiet Power Supply";
Provides = ("Quiet Power Supply");
OrderPreference = "Early";
Messages =
{
start = "Quieting power supply";
stop = "Making power supply noisy";
};
}
(Same thing: type control-d to end)
% chmod 755 QuietPS .
% chmod 644 StartupParameters.plist
The next time you reboot, the "QuietPS" script should run and disable nap for you, saving a trip to System Preferences.
