Kernel Panic bei Backup auf "my book live"

Guten Tag,
seid einigen Wochen benutze ich die Netzwerkfestplatte um Backups via Time Machine zu machen. Leider stürzt mir der Mac (MBP early 2011, 2 GHz i7, 16 GB DDR3 OSX 10.8.4) regelmäßig ab oder sagt, dass ein Backup nicht möglich ist. Es wäre cool, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte. Die letzte Meldung die ich bekam ist die folgende:

Nachschauen oder umstellen ist da mal gar nichts, du sollst auf der Oberfläche der Netzwerkplatte die Dateistruktur mal prüfen lassen

Was bedeutet das konkret? Soll ich gucken, ob die Ordner an der richtigen Stelle sind?

Gerade kam folgendes Fenster:

time machine konnte das Backup "..." Nicht abschließen.
das Image des Backup-Volumens "..." Wird bereits verwendet
