Mit El Capitan hat Apple ein neues Sicherheitsfeature namens System Integrity Protection (SIP) eingeführt. Diese Funktion schützt einige Systemordner (u.a. auch /usr/lib) vor Modifikation, indem jedem User (auch root) jegliche Schreibrechte verwehrt werden.
SIP kann deaktiviert werden, allerdings nur systemweit. Dazu muss man von der Recovery Partition booten und im dortigen Terminal den Befehl "csrutil disable" anwenden.
