10.4.8 / Powerbook G4 erkennt keine PCCards mehr

Hi.
ich arbeite auf einem powerbook g4/1,67 unter 10.4.8 mit verschiedenen pc-cards (umts-merlin, oriconco, watchandgo, cf-adapter). heute erkannte das system plötzlich keine der karten mehr. system.log sagt dazu:

habe routinemäßig die periodics durchlaufenlassen und caches gesäubert, ausserdem die pmu geresettet. was leider keine besserung ergab.
wie bekomme ich meinen pccardslot wieder zum laufen ohne das komplette system zu erneuern?
liegt ein defekt in "IOPCCardFamily.kext" vor?
