Hallo an alle MacUser,
ich habe seit ca. 7 Jahren einen Imac, der leider immer langsamer wird.
Ich benutze ihn hauptsächlich für Office Anwendungen.

Jetzt bin ich unsicher, was am wirtschaftlichen ist.

Würde es wirtschaftlich Sinn machen, ihn aufzurüsten? Welche Komponenten sind die "Schwachstellen"? Kosten?

Was sind meine Altnernativen? Kauf eines neuen Imacs?
Kann ich einen macmini an den Bildschirm des Imacs anschließen?

Das ist meine genaue Konfiguration:
Imac 21.5 Zoll, Mitte 2010
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Prozessor 3,06 GHz Intel Core i3
Speicher 8GB 1333MHz DDR3
Grafikkarte ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB

Hi,
als erstes würde ich eine SSD Nachrüsten, falls noch nicht geschehen, auch ein Scan mit Etrecheck kann nicht schaden, bei diesem Alter und noch ner orginal HDD vermute ich einen schleichenden Defekt dieser.

Die Festplatte ist die Original-Festplatte: 500 GB Sata Festplatte, 230 von 499 GB belegt.
Ich installiere gerade Etre Check.

Habe selbst ein Late 2009 mit ssd und 12GB RAM
Und mit High Sierra läuft es Performant mit Office und Surfen und Musik spielen. Selbst Netflix läuft ganz solide.

Und in dem Programm Aktivitätsanzeige (cmd + Leertaste und dann Aktiv eingeben) kannst du auch mal nachsehen, welche Apps viel CPU-Last erzeugen.

Und SSD wurde ja schon reichlich genannt. ;)

In dem Fall definitiv HDD gegen eine SSD tauschen. Wenn du es dir nicht selbst zutraust, dann bietet bspw. Gravis das auch als Upgrade an. Beim selber machen wichtig ist das Thema Temperatursensor (damit der Lüfter danach nicht Amok läuft).

Hi,
was hat dich geritten MacKeeper zu Installieren ?, das ist absoluter Müll, bitte sofort Deinstallieren, nicht Löschen sondern Deinstallieren, den Deinstaller gibts auf der Homepage von MacKeeper !!, danach den Rechner neustarten und Etrecheck noch mal Scannen lassen,

Für den Laien erscheint MacKeeper sehr verführerisch und die Werbung ist schon ganz schön penetrant.

Ich stimme dem Franz zu, wenn auch nicht ganz so enthusiastisch. ;) MacKeeper sofort nach Herstellervorgabe deinstallieren.

Meine Frau hatte den gleichen Rechner. Mit einer SSD dürfte der noch ganz ok sein. Man sollte halt bedenken, dass die Technologie mittlerweile schon fast neun Jahre alt ist. Vielleicht würde auch ein Cleaninstall helfen.

Neben MacKeeper sagt der Etrecheck auch eindeutig, dass die Festplatte am sterben ist. Ein Cleaninstall alleine wird nicht helfen, die Festplatte sollte auf jeden Fall auch getauscht werden.

Ist aber nicht standard, der Otto-Normal-User installiert sich solche Dinge äußerst selten wenn er denn überhaupt davon gehört hat. So zumindest meine Erfahrung die sicher nicht repräsentativ ist.
