Ich hab gerade ein Forumspost im US-WoW Forum gelesen, dass von einem offiziellen stammt:

No, there will not be a cost or a new CD set.
It will probably be a patch that just shows up.
Two ways to go:
a) pop in your original CD's into the new system, run the 1.0 installer (it will run under Rosetta, we are testing this) and you will get 1.0 PowerPC on the machine - log on and a patch will then be downloaded to get you into the native version. Under this path you are running a PowerPC installer and the PowerPC version of the game in emulation, up until the patch is applied.
b) Copy the existing application folder from your old machine (v1.8.3 or v1.9.0, whatever you are at) and just run it on the new machine, the patch will auto download and apply.
I'll look into making the Intel patch available elsewhere as a mirror; it all depends on whether it is part of a major release such as 1.10 or if it comes out before or after that.
I won't speculate on schedule other than to say we are up and running on Intel now, intend to keep it that way, and intend to ship it to customers as close to the time of availability of retail Mac-Intel hardware as possible. We cannot guarantee that we will hit that goal, but that is the goal, and we are on track for it presently.
