Hallo zusammen,

ich habe vor kurzem gebraucht einen iMac27-Mid2011 gekauft und ihn heute angeschlossen und clean installiert (erst Yosemite, dann die GM von El Capitan). Nun habe ich das Problem, dass sporadisch und ohne ersichtlichen Grund der iMac neustartet aufgrund einer Kernel Panic. Leider kann ich dem Bericht nicht viel entnehmen und bin auf Experten angewiesen. :(

Mache mir jetzt Sorgen, dass ich ein defektes Gerät erwischt habe...
Wenn es "nur" die Festplatte ist, wäre es weniger schlimm, da ohnehin der Einbau einer SSD geplant ist.

Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar. :)
 
Moin, ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem mit einem MacBook Air. Es lag an der Festplatte.

Bevor du das Gerät zurückschicken willst/musst, würde ich das System von der SSD starten. Das geht zum Beispiel mit SuperDuper oder Cabon Copy Cloner, indem du dir ein lauffähiges Backup erstellen lässt und anschließend davon startest.

Vielen Dank. Aber müssten dann nicht Tests wie der Apple Hardware Test Fehler finden? Habe mein System schon auf die SSD geclont. Kann ich sie von USB starten? Ist schließlich nur USB 2.0...

Kleines Update:
Habe den Apple Hardware Test durchlaufen lassen (ohne Fehler) und Rember über Nacht (nach 44 Loops keine Fehler). Habe nun die nachträglich eingebauten RAM-Riegel ausgebaut und werde nochmal Rember über Nacht laufen lassen und schauen ob sich was tut. Werde dann auch morgen mit den 4GB RAM arbeiten und schauen ob es noch eine Panic gibt. Der folgende Schritt wäre dann das Booten von der SSD.
 
Ja, du kannst auch über USB 2.0 starten, dauert nur länger, da die SSD vom Anschluss ausgebremst wird.
 
Edit: Wenn Du die SSD in einem externen Gehäuse hast, musst Du zeitgleich mit dem Startgong die alt-Taste gedrückt halten, bis du die verfügbaren Festplatten siehst.
 
Bisher keine Abstürze. Habe gelesen, dass gemischte RAM Module Kernel Panics auslösen können. Muss dabei unbedingt ein Defekt der Module vorliegen oder kann es einfach an einer Inkompatibilität zwischen den Apple Modulen und den fremden Modulen liegen? Derzeit läuft der iMac noch mit 4GB (Stock) RAM im Safe Mode und die anderen RAM-Module habe ich in mein Macbook eingebaut, wo ich erneut einen Memtest laufen lasse. Werde beobachten ob eines der beiden Systeme nochmal crasht.
 
Es gibt auch inkompatiblen RAM. Deshalb werden bestimmte Hersteller (und gern auch zuverlässigeHändler) empfohlen.

Rember hat nun bei den "Zusatz-RAM"-Modulen (2 x 4 GB), die derzeit im Macbook stecken, Fehler entdeckt.

Habe jetzt nochmal memtest (statt rember) im Single User Mode am Laufen und der erste Durchgang ging nicht nur viel schneller als bei Rember (obwohl mehr Speicher geprüft wird), sondern auch fehlerfrei durch.

Was sagt mir das jetzt?
