macOS Big Sur Sehr langer Start seit Big Sur

Hallo,

seitdem ich Big Sur auf dem iMac Late17 habe (und das sind jetzt schon ein paar Monate) startet das System sehr langsam - braucht ca. 5-6 Minuten bis es komplett hochgefahren ist. Vorher dauerte das bei allen anderen Systemen ca. 30-45 Sekunden. Es nervt schon ziemlich. Nun hab ich mal in die Konsole bei sys.log geschaut. Leider kenne ich mich da so gar nicht aus, was den Start so verlangsamt. Ich setze hier mal einen Screenshot rein vom Start ab bis einige Sekunden. Ich sehe da sämtliche Einträge mit ASL Modul, weiß aber nicht, was das ist. Könnt ihr mir vielleicht sagen, woran es liegen kann anhand des Screenshots?

Aber 5 Minuten ist nicht die Festplatte allein. Ein Mac Pro braucht auch „nur“ etwa 2 Minuten mit einer USB 2.0 Festplatte.

Warum ich das weiß? Experimente wegen dem Timing Problem bei 11.4 und 11.3 am Mac Pro 4.1/5.1

Ich habe mal folgendes probiert:

1. Start im Save-Modus ohne jegliche USB- und Thunderbolt Geräte - Dauer ca. 6 Minuten, also mindestens so lange wie im normalen Modus mit allen angeschlossenen Geräten

2. Programme deinstalliert, die ich kaum oder gar nicht mehr benutzt habe. Über AppCleaner und dann mit Easy Find nach Resten gesucht. Immer dazwischen Neustart

3. Dateien entfernt in Library/LaunchAgents und Daemons

Hat bisher aber nichts gebracht. Jetzt teste ich nochmal mit EtreQueck und poste das hier mal rein.
 
Der start im Safe Mode dauert freilich lange weil er diverse Caches neu aufbaut bzw alte Caches wie den Kext Cache nicht benutzt. Der nächste Start ist interessant.

Ist da irgendwas auffallend? Ich kenne mich damit nicht so gut aus.

vermute dass ein Plugin nicht gefunden wird oder defekt ist, und deshalb der Systemstart verzögert wird, ich würde einen CleanInstall vorschlagen und alles komplett von Grund auf neu Installieren. nur so bekommst du diese Problem in den Grif, wenn das auch nichts bring hat der Rechner ein Hardware problem.

Das wäre extrem umständlich, denn ich bin Tontechnikerin und arbeite mit Logic X. Alleine die ganzen Plugins und Software dafür neu zu installieren würde ja Tage dauern. Und ich benötige meinen iMac täglich. Es gibt dazu übrigens auch noch einen anderen Thread, den ich vorhin gefunden habe. Dort hat der User genau das gleiche Problem, hat einen CleanInstall gemacht und das Problem war immer noch da. Dafür möchte ich mir die Mühe dann nicht machen.

Kann noch bitte jemand was zum EtreQueck Report sagen?

Das wäre extrem umständlich, denn ich bin Tontechnikerin und arbeite mit Logic X. Alleine die ganzen Plugins und Software dafür neu zu installieren würde ja Tage dauern. Und ich benötige meinen iMac täglich.
Dann hättest du wohl noch nicht auf Big Sur gehen sollen, bzw ein Backup des vorherigen Systems behalten sollen.
Normal braucht es doch auch ewig bis alle Audio Software Hersteller das neue OS unterstützen.

Was sagt denn der Verbose Mode mit cmd+v?
Bleibt der da länger irgendwo stehen?

Workflow ändern?
Rechner an, Kaffee machen, in Ruhe trinken.

Ansonsten Fusion raus, externe SSD ran.

Ich hätte einfach gerne mal gewusst, ob beim EtreQueck was auffällig ist? Ich sollte das ja reinstellen.

Verbose Mode - hab ich zwar gemacht, aber mir fällt da nichts auf, weil ich davon keine Ahnung hatte. War ja auch bisher nicht nötig. Ich habe extra auf Big Sur gewechselt, weil es unter Catalina Probleme gab - das waren allerdings andere Probleme, die sich nicht lösen ließen. Nach dem Umstieg auf Big Sur waren diese Probleme nicht mehr da. Dafür halt der lange Start. An so Tools oder Programme wie Malwarebytes etc. kann es auch nicht liegen. Ich habe diese gestern alle mal per AppCleaner gelöscht. Irgendwas werkelt da im Hintergrund, man hört ja die HDD. Vorher ging das schwupps und der Desktop war da.

Mit der Fusion Drive hat das auch nichts zu tun, denn die war auch schon High Sierra und Catalina drin.
 
Doch, es liegt an der HDD. Darauf läuft so ein aktuelles System einfach wie Grütze.

Big Sur von HDD ist wirklich unerträglich. Als ich die Beta testete, habe ich aus genau dem Grund meine externe USB 3 HDD extra auf SSD umgerüstet.

Doch, es liegt an der HDD. Darauf läuft so ein aktuelles System einfach wie Grütze.
Nein daran liegt es eben nicht, weil ich Leute kenne, die auch einen Late17 haben mit der gleichen Fusion Drive 1 TB und die haben nicht das Problem.

Und warum sollte ich das EtreQueck Protokoll einstellen, wenn es sich eh keiner anschaut? ;-)
 
Na wenn du alles besser weißt, dann brauchen wir ja keine Tipps mehr zu geben. Also ein letztes Mal: Allein das System ist seit Big Sur größer als der mickrige SSD-Teil deines FusionDrives, also muss ständig die lahme HDD rödeln. Es muss einfach langsam sein.

Du kannst doch in der Aktivitätsanzeige schauen, welche Prozesse die HDD beanspruchen.

Ist da irgendwas auffallend? Ich kenne mich damit nicht so gut aus.
Nicht wirklich, Silverlight etwas veraltet.
Das WD Tool ist auch unnötig.
Der Bericht zeigt ja nicht die ganze abgeschlossene Hardware.
Vielleicht wartet da das System bis die Geräte Bereitschaft melden.
Alles mal ab und gucken, ob es schneller startet.

Abgesehen vom Fusion Drive sind da ja gleich zu Beginn des Berichtes ein paar Einträge (Minor Issues), denen ich Aufmerksamkeit schenken würde, u.a. die „multiple antivirus apps“.
