Probleme mit 10.4.11 update auf G4 Desktop+Laptop

Seit dem Update auf 10.4.11 stürzen auf meinem Desktop (PMG4MDD Dual 1,25 mit 1,5 GB RAM) Programme häufig ab. Vor allem speicherintensive Anwendungen wie Photoshop oder wenn viele Anwendungen gleichzeitig geöffnet sind. Oft stürzt dann irgendwas ab, manchmal friert auch das ganze System ein, sodass ich einen Hardreset machen muss.

Hardwarebesonderheit: Ich habe 2x512MB PC2700 und 2x256MB PC3200 drin, alles von Samsung, (die Teile, die auch Apple verbaut). Die harmonierten aber bisher immer perfekt, sodass ich sie nicht unbedingt für die Ursache halte.

Auch auf meinem iBook G4 800 MHz mit 640MB RAM gibt es seit dem Update Probleme. Das hochfahren dauert extrem lange. Bistimmt doppelt so lange wie vorher (beide Stages: 1. der graue Screen mit dem Apfel und 2. der Ladebalken wenn das GUI gestartet wird).

Bin für jeden Ratschlag dankbar Btw: Ein Backup hab ich natürlich vorher nicht gemacht

Zum ersten Fall: Ich nehme mal an, daß Du natürlich mit dem Festplatten-Dienstprogramm Deine HD überprüft und Rechte repariert hast!? Was sagt denn die Konsole im crash.log bei den Abstürzen?

Festplattendiensprogramm hab ich auch noch nicht gemacht... wird sofort nachgeholt

Was ich schon gemacht hab: Mit Cocktail alle Caches gelöscht... Dachte, das könnte helfen.

Hab jetzt die Zugriffsrechte reparieren lassen. Wurde auch einges umgeschrieben.

Danach hab ich mal munter einige (7-8) Icons auf meinem Dock angeklickt. Die Hälfte der Anwendungen ist abgestürzt. Als ich danach Photoshop gestartet habe: Systemfreeze. Kernelpanic in CPU 0:

Aber nicht nur Rechte reparieren, sondern auch Deine HD mit dem FDP und mal PRAM resetten.
EDIT: Können aber auch defekte Schriften sein, die manchmal zu Problemen führen.

Habe natürlich die Festplatte ganz und gar geprüft und repariert vonder CD aus. Das ist damit erledigt.

PRAM resette ich jetzt mal.

Die defekten Schriften dürften ja nur bei Adobe-Anwendungen zum Problem werden. Sollten sich die Abstürze nur darauf fokussieren, werde ich auch diesem Hinweis von Dir mal nachgehen. Aber der Test geht nach der Methode "trail-and-error" vor. Bei den vielen Schriften kann das dauern...

Werde das auch mal mit dem ibook machen.
