"Neues" vom NDAS-Treiber

Hallo,

wer wegen des fehlenden 64-Bit-Treibers auf dem Laufenden bleiben möchte, kann den IOCell-Support kontaktieren. Dort wurde eine Mailinglist angelegt.
Hier die Antwort auf meine Anfrage vom Support:

Dear NetDISK User,

Thank you for your contact.

NDAS development is informed of the problem you mentioned. I will put your email to a list that will receive an update of any development in this area. No timeline or release date has been reported to us at this time. There is also MAC OS 10.7 that will need the driver for NDAS as well, so it will more likely be a big fix for all coming updates.

There are only a few workarounds at this time.

1) Roll back to 10.6.6 until there is an update to NDAS connection software.
2) Connect to the NDAS device by USB or eSATA.
3) Connect the NDAS device to a host computer and share the drive by AFP or "Windows Sharing" method.
4) Some users reported success by disabling Spotlight.
5) Some were able mount the drive Read Only, writing data from the windows computer.

gibt es an der ndas front eventuell was neues?
nutze 10.7 und der nads treiber funktioniert nicht. google hat auch noch nicht weiter geholfen.

Das einzige, was neu ist: Der Hersteller hat den Quellcode vom Treiber für OS X freigegeben. Die Open Source Gemeinde könnte einen schreiben. Von Ximeta ist nichts mehr zu erwarten.

Du hast die Lösung gefunden. Auf OpenSource warten oder was ordentliches kaufen und das Gerät ersetzen.

den quellcode hab ich gefunden, aber bevor ich mir damit das system versaue klem ich das teil lieber via usb an.
hab halt noch alte ide platten die ich in so ein "NAS" packen wollte. als das teil angekommen ist stellte sich raus das es garkein nas ist, sondern nur etwas ähnliches. sollte für nen monatliches Zusatz backup sein
ist nicht weiter wichtig, für ein mal im Monat kann ich das auch so machen.
