macOS Monterey Monterey wirft externe Platten aus / Knistern und Bildrauschen HDMI

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe einen Mac mini (Late 2014) von High Sierra auf Monterey aktualisiert. Das Ganze ist primär als Media Center in Verwendung und steckt am Fernseher. Das System steht bei einem Verwanden von mir.
Vor den Upgrade des Systems lieft der mini in seiner Werkskonfiguration mit 1 TB HDD. Mit dem Upgrade auf Monterey bekam der mini eine "2,5" SSD HIGH" von Intenso.

Grundsätzlich lief alles zufriedenstellend. Im Verlauf der letzten 2 Wochen wurden Probleme mit ausgeworfenen externen Platten und Bildrauschen und Knistern des Tones nach mehreren Stunden Betriebszeit berichtet. Das System läuft, wie schon immer, in 24/7.

Nach einem Neustart läuft das Ganze über Stunden ohne Probleme. Die Probleme tauchen immer nach dem Aufwachen aus dem Standby auf.

Gibt es brauchbare Ansätze zu den Problemen? Das Netz ist voll mit Berichten zu Problemen bei USB-Verbindungen.

Gedanken von mir zur Eingrenzung:

• Firmware SSD / laut Webseite nichts verfügbar
• Firmware YOTTAMASTER Festplattengehäuse / muss ich erst eine Verfügbarkeit prüfen
• Firmware der HDDs im YOTTAMASTER / muss ich erst eine Verfügbarkeit prüfen
• EDIT: Es wird kein Ventura für das Gerät geben. Auf Ventura 13.1 warten
• EtreCheck / erledigt nichts auffälliges
• TRIM / ist das immer noch ein Thema?

I have updated a Mac mini 2014 from High Sierra to Monterey. The whole
thing is primarily used as a media center and is connected to the TV.
The system is at a relative of mine.
Before the upgrade of the system, the mini ran in its factory configur
ation with 1 TB HDD. With the upgrade to Monterey, the mini got a &quo
t;2.5" SSD HIGH" from Intenso.
Basically, everything ran satisfactorily. Over the course of the last
2 weeks, problems with ejected external disks and picture noise and cr
ackling sound were reported after several hours of operation. The syst
em runs, as it always has, in 24/7.
After a reboot, it runs for hours with no problems. The problems alway
s appear after waking up from standby.

    Apps with heavy CPU usage - There have been numerous cases of apps with heavy CPU usage.
    Clean up - There are orphan files that could be removed.
    Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed. These files could be old, incompatible, and cause problems. They should be reviewed.
    x86-only Apps - This computer has x86-only apps might not work on future versions of the operating system.
    Sharing enabled - This computer has sharing services enabled that could be a security risk.

Ich empfehle ein Downgrade.
USB und Standby sind doch ein leidiges Thema bei neueren Mac OS Versionen.
Da Apple auch vieles neu schreibt, wird es eher mehr als weniger Probleme geben.

Okay, Downgrade auf …? Big Sur? Viel weiter runter würde ich ungern gehen.

Dann kannst weiter High Sierra nutzen, wenn es damit stabil lief.

Okay, ich habe mich undeutlich ausgedrückt. Der mini wird primär als PMS genutzt. nebenbei aber schon zum surfen, E-Mails und so weiter. Auf eine Versorgung mit Patches habe ich schon viel zu lange mit Bauchschmerzen verzichtet. Der Besitzer war bisher mit High Sierra zufrieden. Nur eben ich nicht.

Da das ja erst mit Monterey passiert, scheint das ja ein Software Problem zu sein.
Oder gab es das auch schon vorher?

Vielleicht mal ein externes Testsystem aufsetzen, ob es da auch mit Big Sur passiert.

Zwischen High Sierra und Monterey gab es ja auf dem System keinerlei Erfahrungen. Das mit dem Test auf einer externen Platte ist einen Versuch wert. 👍🏻
