Komplexe Probleme mit MBP 13“ mid 2010

Hallo!
Eine Freundin bat mich um Hilfe, da ihr MBP non retina 13“ aus mid 2010 ( 4GB, 250 GB HDD ) extrem langsam geworden ist.
Sie hat es aktuell noch auf OSX Version 10.9.5
Der ganze Rechner ist sehr, sehr langsam beim Öffnen von Programmen, der Papierkorb entfernt ebenfalls sehr langsam die hineingelegten Dateien.
Ich riet ihr, mit dem Festplattendienstprogramm die HDD zu überprüfen und ggf. die Zugriffsrechte zu reparieren. Ist nun geschehen. Das Startvolumen zeigt ein ?. Wie kann das sein? Sollte man da noch mehr Sachen softwaremäßig reparieren? Wenn ja, wie?
Sie hatte das Programm MacKeeper drauf

, da hab ich geraten, sofort runter mit dem Ding. Auch erledigt.
Ihre Platte fürs TM-Backup wird nicht mehr erkannt. Auch an anderen Macs nicht, also ist die ext. Platte kaputt.
Nun möchte sie auf Yosemite updaten. Jedoch gelingt dies nicht, wenn sie einfach nur auf Softwareaktualisierung klickt.
Nun soll ich ihr eine SSD einbauen. Das wäre an sich auch nicht das Problem, da ich es früher beim selben Gerät, welches ich hatte, auch gemacht habe.
Aber bevor ich mit CCC daran gehe und die alte Platte klone, würde ich doch ganz gerne die alte HDD ordentlich reparieren.

Was könnte man als erstes machen?
- Startvolumen mit „?“ reparieren, wie?
- Update auf Yosemite, wo findet man das? Im App-Store? ( ich kann es leider bisher nur telefonisch mit ihr durchsprechen, daher weiß ich auch nicht, ob sie richtig im App-Store geschaut hat.

Wäre toll, wenn mir jemand Tipps geben könnte.

Ein Teil des Problems.

Ansonsten mal in den Safe-Mode booten (Beim Startgong die Shift/Hochstelltaste gedrückt halten, bis die entsprechende Meldung kommt) und mal schauen, ob da das Problem immer noch auftritt. Backup erstellen. EtreCheck runterladen, und den Report hier in Codetags einstellen.

Tja, das kann ich Dir nicht sagen. Ist nicht mein Gerät, sondern das einer Freundin. Ich wußte auch nicht, dass sie so eine Software installiert hat.

CleanMyMac, Java, Silverlight und Flash deinstallieren. Das sollte schon mal ein guter Anfang sein.

CleanMyMac ist immer noch installiert. Und der Akku gibt auch den Geist auf. Es sind ein Haufen Internet-Plugins installiert, bei denen ich die meisten noch nicht mal kenne. Ok, kein Wunder, da ich den Dingern von Natur aus misstrauisch gegenüber stehe.

Das Programm „Clean my Mac „ konnte sie erfolgreich löschen. Nur Silverlight und FlashPlayer findet sie nicht in Programme und auch nicht über die Spotlight-Suche.

Nachdem dann nachher eine neue ext FP für TM besorgt wird, macht sie ein neues TM-Backup.

Dann möchte sie auf die aktuellste Betriebssystemsoftware updaten. Noch ist ja Mavericks drauf. Um auf Sierra bzw High Sierra zu gelangen, hat sie dies einfach mal als Google Suche gemacht und kommt dann auf folgende Seite von Apple:
