Hallo Macianer,
ich hatte schon Schwierigkeiten mit dem System 10.15.7 (Catalina).
Meine Adobe CreativeCloud startet extrem langsam und ich bekomme immer wieder Arbeitspeicher-Meldungen.

Jetzt meine Frage: Hat jemand von euch ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht und jetzt Big Sur zufriedenstellend installiert?

Hat dein iMac zufällig eine alte, drehende Festplatte? Diese sind absolut unzeitgemäß, und alle aktuellen Systeme laufen darauf schnarchlangsam. Hier hilft nur der Austausch gegen eine SSD.

Wenn dein System zu wenig Arbeitsspeicher meldet, dann erscheint es sinnvoll, auch diesen aufzurüsten.

Allein durch Big Sur wird sich in beiden Fällen nichts verbessern. Du musst an die Hardware ran.

Gib doch mal genaue Eckdaten zu deinem System.

SSD, FD oder SSD? Geht das genauer? Mehr RAM geht nicht?

Über ein Hardware-Update habe ich noch nicht nachgedacht – wäre das ratsam?

Ich hänge mich hie gleich an, weil mein Thema, glaube ich, gut dazupasst.
Ich habe einen mac mini late 2014 geschenkt bekommen, auf dem bereits Big Sur läuft.
Der Mac ist ziemlich langsam, ich würde ihn aber mit SSD und Arbeitsspeicher Hochrüsten, wenn sich das auszahlt.

Hi,
Deinstalliere Kaspersky, dieses macht in einem Apple System nur Probleme, und ist durch xprotect von Apple überflüssig, xprotect arbeitet im Hintergrund und hat keine Gui.

Ja, die olle 5400er Festpaltte ist Murks. Raus damit gegen eine SSD.
