iMac nach RAM Aufrüstung startet langsamer

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) hatte bisher 2 x 4 GB RAM, die ich jetzt um 2 x 16 GB erweitert habe. Der iMac startet nun länger als 2 Minuten (vorher unter 1 Minute). Dass die Speicher beim Starten geprüft werden, weiß ich, aber kann es wirklich dazu führen, dass die doppelte Zeit nun benötigt wird?

Ja, Parameterram nach jedem Eingriff zurückgesetzt. Ja, die Module müssen paarweise eingebaut werden und sind, nicht wie in der offiziellen Anleitung von Apple 1-2-3-4 zu bestücken, sondern 1-3-2-4. Das Startvolumen ist korrekt ausgewählt. Alle externen Geräte wurden für die Zeitmessung jeweils entfernt. Das Festplattendienstprogramm hab ich auch schon laufen lassen – alles ok mit dem Startvolumen.

würde mal den SMC- und Pram-Reset ausführen, den Pram-Restet mindestes 3x in Folge ausführen.

Erstelle doch bitte ein Systemprotokoll, damit wir alle wesentlichen Informationen auf einen Blick haben.

SMC-Reset durchgeführt ohne Verbesserung. PRAM Reset 3 x in Folge? Echt jetzt? Nach jeder Änderung mache ich ein PRAM-Reset. Jetzt habe ich die DIMMs wieder eingebaut, die Resets durchgeführt und auch das Systemprotokoll erstellt. Leider fehlt bei der aktuellen Version der Button »Allow full Drive Access«. Wie kann ich Euch den EtreCheck zukommen lassen? .txt kann ich hier nicht hochladen und als Text möchte der Admin weniger als 1.000 Zeichen.

Ja, das ist Absicht. Ich möchte nicht, dass mein System irgendwann automatisch aktualisiert wird. In der Vergangenheit war es mehrfach so, dass ein Rechner nach einem Update sehr langsam läuft oder Tücken ohne Ende bereithält, die man zuerst in Foren lesen kann.

Das mit der ollen drehenenden Festplatte verstehe ich nicht. Ja, Apple hat alle User mit ihrem FusionDrive verarscht. Eine SSD ist schon unterwegs. Jedoch geht es mir um den erweiterten RAM. Nach der Auftrüstung dauert es mehr als doppelt so lange, als der Mac benötigt, um einen kompletten Startvorgang durchzuführen. Das sehe ich als Problem. Baue ich später eine SSD ein und das System wird dadurch beschleunigt, kommt doch trotzdem wieder diese Minute oben drauf. Was hat das also mit dem eigentlichen Problem zu tun? Ich habe doch auch schon mehrfach die beiden DIMMs wieder entfernt, Resets durchgeführt und wieder eine Zeitmessung gemacht.

Der Startvorgang »hakt« an 3 Stellen. Zuerst nach einem Viertel ca. Dann im letzten Drittel. Beide Angaben meine ich so, wie das Thermometer beim Startvorgang zeigt. Danach sollte der Mac Schreibtisch erscheinen. Der Bildschirm wird dann erst einmal komplett schwarz und verharrt wiederum für ca. 10 Sekunden. Wenn man dann denkt, jetzt ist er da, weil die Menüleiste gezeigt wird, dauert es noch weitere Sekunden, bis die Festplatte und einige Schen erscheinen, die auf dem Schreibtisch liegen.

Und noch einmal: nehme ich die beiden DIMMs wieder raus, ist der iMac superschnell. Es kann also – meiner Meinung nach – dabei nicht um die Festplatte gehen. Das Startvolumen ist korrekt ausgewählt.

Nee. Meiner Erfahrung nach, dass Apple künstliche Obsoleszenz erzeugt. Dort werden die Produkte strategisch so gebaut, dass sie möglichst zu einem von Apple selbst bestimmten Zeitpunkt, veralten. Beispielsweise nach einem Systemupdate.

Apple schätze ich mittlerweile sogar so ein, dass die beiden RAM-Module nicht von Apple autorisiert wurden, also irgend eine Nummer an irgend einer Stelle fehlt und der User bemerken soll, dass er »schlechte«, weil kein Apple-Logo zierende Hardware erworben hat. Natürlich ist das nur eine Vermutung

Wie ich bereits im Eröffnungs-Tread schrobte, erkennt der Mac die DIMMs. Die Obsoleszenz bezog sich auf die angemahnten automatischen Systemupdates. Die Vermutung jedoch darauf, dass der Startvorgang künstlich verlangsamt wird, wenn eben eine Chechnummer fehlt. Das war eine reine Vermutung.
 
Mach doch mal einen Verbose Boot mit cmd+v, guck an welchen Stellen es lange braucht.
Schreibtisch ist auch nicht voller Dateien?
Das kann den Mac auch langsam machen.

Den Verbos Boot kannte ich noch nicht. Da sieht ein Mac ja fast nach nem PC aus ;-) Das geht recht flüssig Hakt an vielleicht drei kleinen Stellen. Ich hab mit meiner Kamera davor gesessen, um abzudrücken, wann es still steht. Die Zeiten sind wirklich gering. Danach bootet er recht schnell bis 3/4, dann gibt es die erste große Pause. Und danach eben das Spiel mit dem schwarzen Bildschirm. Danach Bild des Schreibtischs. Menü etc.

Ja, solche Sachen hatte ich auch nachgelesen und auch schon behoben. Auch habe ich die Aktivitätsanzeige im Blick. Wie gesagt. Die Moduke herausgenommen, ist der Mac wieder sehr schön schnell.

Ich würde das gern an dieser Stelle beenden. Der Admin kann gern den gesamten Thread löschen, damit nicht Hunderte Augen dasselbe lesen und dabei kein Ergebnis erzielt wird.
