iMac late 2013 sehr langsam

Hi,

Ich habe einen iMac von ende 2013 mit einem 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5 und 8 GB RAM. ER läuft mit macOS Mojave 10.14.6. An den Mac sind zwei Festplatten a 2 TB angeschlossen. Eine für Backups und eine für Bilder, Musik und Filme etc. Leider ist der Mac sehr langsam und die Programme brauchen extrem lange zum öffnen. Und das bei Programmen wie Pages oder Safari. Auch das hochfahren dauert ewig. Hat jemand einen Tipp wie man den Rechner wieder schneller bekommen könnte?

Mal in die Konsole und die Aktivitätsanzeige geschaut?
 
Hast du da eine SSD oder noch eine Festplatte drin wo das Betriebssystem drauf steht?
 
Die Aktivitätsanzeige zeigt meistens ca 80% Inaktivität an. Also nicht wirklich ausgelastet.
 
War der iMac schonmal schneller? Wenn nein dann mußt du eine SSD einbauen bzw. anhängen und das System davon laufen lassen. Wenn ja, was hast du geändert bzw. gemacht?

Kannst ja auch mal einen etrecheck Bericht hier posten, darin steht alles relevante zum Rechner und System, eventuell findet man typische Spaßbremsen.

Also der Rechner war auf jedenfalls schonmal schneller. Es sind halt viele neue Dateien dazugekommen, aber ansonsten eigentlich nichts.

lies mal die SMART werte aus, z.b. mit der testversion von drivedx.
vielleicht ist die HDD das problem.

schließe mich da oneOeight an, das könnte die HDD sein.
Lese und Schreibrate sind bei 55 und 56 MB/s
 
Ja 55/56 ist recht langsam, auch für eine Festplatte. Wenn dann gleich eine SSD da rein, oder per USB3 anschließen

Ich habe gleiche problem iMac late 2015 mit 1TB HDD gehabt, vor 2 monate 1 TB SSD selbst gebaut, jetzt in jeder Hinsicht unglaublich schnell.
 
Hallo :) ich weiß nicht ob hier noch jemand liest, aber ich habe ein paar fragen da ich nur Bahnhof verstanden habe :) Ich habe einen iMac Ende 2013, so wie Hen007ry. Der Mac ist mega langsam geworden. Ich habe schon viele Dateien, Fotos und so weiter auf eine Externe gespeichert. Bin im Internet auf alles mögliche gestoßen, Ram leeren, Terminal und so weiter. HDD, das ist ja ein externes Laufwerk oder täusche ich mich da? Kann mir das jemand für Blonde erklären? Da wäre ich sehr dankbar, und mein Mac wahrscheinlich auch :)
 
Das kann viele Ursachen haben. Zum einen wäre da z.B. eine volle Festplatte zu nennen, zum anderen zu viele laufende Programme.
Du könntest jetzt mal in die Aktivitätsanzeige sehen, ob da ein (oder mehrere) Prozess(e) durch Speicherbedarf und/oder CPU-Auslastung besonders auffallen.
Dann besteht auch die Möglichkeit, dass Deine Festplatte der Auslöser ist: zu voll oder am „sterben“. Hast Du die schon einmal mit dem Festplattendienstprogramm überprüft?
 
Ja das habe ich. Also Festplattenspeicher hat noch 890 gb frei, bei der aktivitätenanzeige blicke ich nicht durch, aber löschen kann ich da auch nichts. CPU ist nicht besorgniserregend, nur die Aktivitätenanzeige braucht halt viel. Ich habe Memory Clean gemacht, über Terminal sudo purge eingegeben, hilft auch nichts. ich glaube echt das meine Festplatte hops geht :/ Festplattendienstprogram habe ich auch schon gemacht.

Nein.
Zur Aktivitätsanzeige: Da hast Du verschiedene Register, wie z.B. CPU und Speicher. Die rufst Du nacheinander auf und lässt Dir die Prozesse nach Auslastung anzeigen, indem Du oben auf den kleinen Pfeil klickst, so dass er nach unten gerichtet ist. Auf dem Screenshot_01 habe ich versucht, Dir das zu markieren.
