Entschuldigung, dass ich eine Frage stelle, welche immer wieder auftaucht. Mein Mac arbeitet ständig. Bei der Aktivitätsanzeige ist kein Wert über 1%,.
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
2TB Sata Festplatte

Ich bin so was von einem Neuling und Grünling und komme Technisch überhaupt nicht draus. In anderen Threads habe ich gelesen, dass es nützlich ist, "etre" darüber laufen zu lassen.
Habe ich gemacht, hier das Protokoll, dass mir als Oberlaie überhaupt nichts sagt. Sieht der Profi wie ihr da allenfalls ein Lösungsansatz? Tausenddank für jeden Tipp. Ich möchte einfach, dass mein Mac sich nicht überarbeitet...
Und dauernd bei jeder Tätigkeit das Sat-1 Kreislein ...das nervt..

erst mal willkommen im Forum

Schmeiß den ganzen Mist von Avira runter, aber nicht einfach löschen, sondern den Deinstaller verwenden

Des weiteren, wenn der Mist runter ist, einen safe-boot machen.
Starten mit gedrückter Shift-Taste. Start kann je nachdem bis zu 10 min dauern.
Die Shift-Taste aber so lange gedrückt halten, bis der Apfel erscheint ..... dann erst los lassen.

Anschließend den Man erneut neu starten.

Da die eingebaute HDD doch schon recht alt ist, kann natürlich auch die HDD schon am Sterben liegen.

Dazu lade dir die Demo von SMART Utility

..... und poste das Ergebnis von Attribute > show all

Da ist aber auch noch mehr, was auffällt. Du hast z.B. zehn Netzwerkverbindungen, allein acht davon für irgendwelche iphones oder ipads. Dass das sudoers File nicht dem Standard entspricht steht ja explizit schon da und würde mich auch stutzig machen. Avira? bitte weg damit. Den Hinweis mit den SMART Werten hat yew ja schon gegeben.

@yew: Habe alles nach deinen Anweisungen gemacht. Avira ist weg: Brauche ich kein Virenschutz? Es dünkt mich, der Compi ist schon ruhiger geworden, wärend ich das schreibe, rattert er nicht ;)

das einzige was hier auffallend ist, sind die hohen Betriebsstunden (20222) und die hohe Anzahl vom Ein-/Ausschalten.
Der Rest sieht in Ordnung aus und ich denke, die HDD läuft noch eine Zeit lang

Herzlichen Dank yew, für dein Engagement. Der Computer ist nun Zwischendurch wieder ruhig und tönt ganz normal...ohne dein Support wäre das nicht so.Danke! Toll, dass es so ein Forum gibt, wo auch nicht "Cracks" Hilfe bekommen! Danke euch allen!

da deine HDD ja schon einige Jährchen auf dem Buckel hat, solltest du dir aber trotzdem überlegen, ob du die HDD ersetzen willst. Nein, nicht heute, aber meistens fallen sie unbemerkt aus und ohne Backup ist dann das Jammern groß

Backup machst du hoffentlich

Was jetzt aber nicht erkennbar ist, wie voll deine Platte ist. Evtl reicht ja auch eine kleinere .... und die dann als SSD, dann wird dein iMac noch schneller

Ja, da hat mir aber der Apple Store abgeraten (logisch, die wollen ja neue Geräte verkaufen)...Also lohnt es sich schon noch, in ein 2010 Mac eine neue SSD zu verbauen? Fr¨üher hatte ich meine digitalisierte Musiksammlung auf der HD, habe aber diese nun auf einem Laptop. Denke, ein Terra würde reichen, oder sogar 750 GB. Und ja, ab und zu mache ich auch Sicherungskopien auf eine HD. Gibt es dort eine Empfehlung deinerseits, mit welchem Programm die Chance gross ist, alles wiederherzustellen im Falle eines Totalabsturzes? Liebe Grüsse Hugo

Backup-Programm ist doch auf dem Mac vorhanden .... TimeMachine
.... und ja, es rentiert sich schon, aber so was fragt man nicht im Apple Store nach, sondern man fragt nach bei einem AASP in deiner Nähe ..... aber nicht Gravis, da hört man zu viel schlechte Sachen

Gib doch einfach nur AASP Apple Zürich ein und dann hast du schon ein paar Ergebnisse.
