iMac 2019 geht plötzlich aus - schwarzer Bildschirm

Hallo zusammen,

mein iMac 2019 (macOS 10.14.6) geht manchmal ganz plötzlich aus - es kommt ein schwarzer Bildschirm, als hätte ich den Netzstecker gezogen. Der Mac hängt an einer USV (APC Back-UPS Pro 900) und an den USB-Ports hängen zwei externe Festplatten (die ich irgendwie im Verdacht habe; beide Platten bekommen Strom auch von der USV).

Nach dem Wieder-Einschalten per Haupttaster fährt der iMac ohne Fehlermeldung hoch, öffnet alle Fenster wie vor dem Absturz und ich kann weiter arbeiten.

Der Apple-Diagnose-Test (»D« beim Einschalten) und der komplette Test mit MemTest86 sind ohne Fehlermeldung durchgelaufen.

Ich habe keine Ahnung, in welche Log-Datei ich schauen (und wonach ich suchen) sollte oder wie ich das Problem eingrenzen kann, weil die Ausfälle nur selten vorkommen (ca. 4 Mal in einem Monat).

U.a. hängt ein Wacom Intuos-Tablet per USB am Rechner und ein Drucker über LAN.

Ist es möglich, dass Spannungsspitzen über z.B. einen USB-Port eingehen und den Rechner »ausknipsen« können?

Für Tipps, Überlegungen und »Schüsse ins Blaue« bin ich dankbar.

Würde mal alles was an USB dranhängt abstecken, dann siehst du ja ob es an einem externen Gerät liegt.

Danke für die schnelle Antwort, Franz.

Leider brauche ich zumindest die beiden externen Platten immer: Daten-Platte und TimeMachine-Backup. Der Rest ist jetzt erstmal aus. Aber da der nächste Blackout evtl. erst wieder in einer Woche passiert, ist das halt für mich sehr unbefriedigend, da ich den Fehler nicht genau lokalisieren kann.

würde mal den AppleHardware Test ausführen, beim booten die Taste d drücken und den langen Test durchführen, das Ergebniß hier posten.

bei solchen Fehlern hilft nur Testen, es kann auch ein Softwareproblem sein, mal Etrecheck downloaden vollen Systemzugriff erlauben und das System damit scannen, das Ergebniss in CodeTags hier Posten, nach dieser Anleitung,

in diesem Report ist kein Software Problem erkennbar, sieht eher nach einem Hardware Problem aus, tippe mal auf ein Netzteil mit nem Knacks, es kann auch ein Speicherriegel einen Fehler haben, ein solcher Blackout hat eher mit einem Hardwareproblem zu tun.

Ich würde mal die 2x 4GB Ram Riegel raus nehmen. Ist kein Aufwand und man kann normal weiter arbeiten. Ich habe die 2x4GB raus genommen und 2x 16GB eingebaut. Wenn ich die 8Gb drin lasse, dann läuft der Arbeitsspeicher nur mit 2400MHz, anstatt mit 2666MHz.

So wie es aussieht, war das (billige) Stromkabel zwischen USV und iMac Schuld. Äußerlich ist es unbeschädigt, aber bei bestimmten Berührungen schmierte der iMac ab. Das Kabel ist ersetzt - bisher keine Probleme mehr.

Sehr gut! Ich hatte mal ein USB Kabel, das hat mir direkt beim einstecken einen Systemfreeze erzeugt. Abstecken und Neustart, alles OK - Kabel eingesteckt und sofort Systemfreeze. Billiges Chinakabel halt… das kann schon mal vorkommen, falsche Polung oder was auch immmer.
