Externe Maxtor USB nach Urlaub im Streik?

Hallöchen,
nach 3 Wochen Urlaub wollte ich heute morgen meinen iMac wieder komplett in Betrieb nehmen. Soweit geht auch alles - bis auf eine externe Maxtor-USB-Platte, die nicht mehr mitspielen will. (Vorher hat alles wunderbar geklappt...)

Im Konsolen-Log steht sowas:

Im Profiler wird sie erkannt (siehe Bild), aber im Festplatten-Dienstprogramm nicht und auch nicht von Data-Rescue II.


Das selbe Ergebnis übrigens am Macbook?


Ähm - wer hat noch einen Tip für mich?

Edit: die "Storagebird-Platte" im Bild ist eine andere Platte, die korrekt erkannt wird; eine an Firewire geht auch problemlos.

Sieht nach einem defekt in dem USB Interface im Gehäuse der Platte aus.

Also einfach neues Gehäuse kaufen und umbauen?

Kann sein. Ich weiß es nicht genau ob es das ist.
Aber lt. der Log bricht die Kommunikation ab bzw erhält er keine Antwort.

Wenn die Platte (also nur die Festplatte innen drin) defekt wäre würden die Fehlermeldungen anders aus sehen.
