Myth: Mac OS X requires GPT

This is mostly a myth. Mac OS X boots and runs just fine from disks using MBR partitioning, or even APM (Apple Partition Map, used on PowerPC Macs).

However, the Mac OS X Installer will refuse to put a fresh copy of Mac OS X on a disk that’s not using GPT. You can work around this using cloning tools like SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner. Install Mac OS X on a GPT-partitioned disk first, then clone it onto the disk of your choice.

Apple’s firmware updates are another issue. The exact requirements are not known at this time, but they are known to not work if you don’t have GPT and you don’t have a EFI System Partition.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, dann kann man Leopard mit dem Mac OSX Installer nicht auf einer Platte installieren, die nicht GPT benutzt, sondern erst über den Umweg des Klonens.

auf intel macs...
PPC macs brauchen zwingend APM, sonst booten die nicht, da wird der leopard install kein GPT verlangen...

die meisten leute verwenden superduper oder carbon copy cloner...
du kannst es aber auch mit dem festplattendienstprogramm machen...



GUID nennt sich das partitionsschema, das kann man unter optionen beim festplattendienstprogramm wählen, wenn man neu partitioniert.
das will apple auf den intel macs halt sehen...



das geht entweder im terminal oder auch mit dem festplattendienstprogramm. wobei das festplattendienstprogramm die EFI partition von haus aus nicht anzeigt.
bist du denn sicher, dass die weg ist?
tipp doch mal im terminal (findest du in programme/dienstprogramme) folgendes:
diskutil list

ist schon zwar etwas länger her. aber nun ist es soweit.
ich möchte mein os neuinstallieren.

das problem ist folgendes: fahre ich das macbook hoch kommt eine win-fehlermeldung.
noch bevor der apfel erscheint.

hat einer nen plan, wie ich den fehler beheben kann?
