Ecamm äußert sich skeptisch bzgl. Logitech-Kameras:

Hi:

Logitech has an annoying habit of making new cameras with the same name as older cameras. Their new line of cameras doesn't have Mac support but the cameras from last year do. If you can find one of the older QuickCam for Notebooks Pro or old QuickCam Zoom those work well with iChat.
Other QuickCams with Mac support are the Communicate and Messenger.

Another option is the Higoto SimpleCam. This is a German company that creates a Mac compatible camera. It comes with a free copy of iChatUSBCam.

So, mittlerweile habe ich eine Logitech "Quickcam Orbit"/"Quickcam Sphere", und zwar das alte Modell, d. h. ohne den Namenszusatz "MP".

Gekauft bei eBay für 95 Euro bei diesem Verkäufer

Die Kamera funktioniert inkl. automatischem Facetracking, Autofokus und Mikrofon mit iChatUSBCam auch unter iChat AV.

Mit anderen Treibern (maccam, IOExperts, Logitech) fkt. die Kamera in iChat nicht.
