Apple Numeric Keyboard funktioniert nicht

Mein altes Apple Numeric Keyboard scheint nicht mehr zu funktionieren, obwohl es erst zwei Jahre alt ist und optisch im besten Zustand ist.

Es wurde bereits an mehren Computern getestet und es zeigt einfach keine Reaktion, wenn die Tasten gedrückt werden.

Vorher hatte ich es über längere Zeit nicht genutzt, könnte das Problem damit in Verbindung stehen?

Welches Keyboard genau? An welchen Macs mit welchen Systemen?
Falls es das erste Alu-Modell ist, könnte es sein, dass du ein Treiber-Update brauchst, z.B.:

Am iMac mit Lion funktioniert es nicht, am MacBook Pro mit Lion funktioniert es nicht und am Windows 7 PC ebenfalls nicht.

Es handelt sich um ein Apple Numeric Keyboard (USB), gekauft ± August/September 2009.
