Alternativen zu iA-Writer (Wichtig: Typewriter-Mode?)

Hallo zusammen,

ich suche Alternativen zu iA-Writer auf iOS, weil mir da die Schrift zu groß ist. Leider lässt sie sich nicht einstellen...

Wie dem auch sei: Ich will unbedingt eine App mit Typewriter-Modus, bei dem die gerade aktuelle Zeile immer in der Mitte des Bildschirms bleibt. iA-Writer hat so eine Funktion, ansonsten habe ich aber bislang keine App für das iPad gefunden, die das auch kann. Der Byword-Entwickler (auf dem Mac meine Lieblings-App!) weigert sich leider, die Funktion unter iOS zu implementieren, habe ihn selbst angeschrieben

Naja... wie dem auch sei: Typewriter-Mode ist Pflicht, iCloud- und/oder Dropbox-Anbindung ebenso, Markdown wäre schön, das Interface sollte möglichst simpel sein. Habt Ihr irgendwelche Tipps für mich?

und wenn du die Programmierer von iA-Writer mal anschreibst und ihnen dein Feature vorschlägst? Einstellbare Schriftgröße sollte kein allzugroßes Problem darstellen.

Das wäre eine Idee, ja. Allerdings hat die App auch einige andere (kleine) Schwächen, die ich nicht leiden kann. Und das Konzept von iA-Writer ist nunmal, dass man sich als Schreiberling eben um nichts kümmmern soll außer die Eingabe von Markdown-Text.

Naja, versuchen kann man's mal. Ansonsten geht aber die Suche nach Alternativen weiter – wer hat noch Vorschläge?

Thank you for your comment. We have done our best to create iA Writer devoid of settings so that you can focus on the content of your writing rather than fumble with parameters.
In the case of text size, we chose it based on a good deal of thought best explained in this article: https://ia.net/know-how/responsive-typography-the-basics.

You might ask “Why not just allow the user to choose the type size?” Well, adjusting type size is not a matter of taste, but a matter of reading distance. Since most websites and applications have an overly small type size, new customers would initially choose a type size that they are used to, that is: too small a size, and never experience the full pleasure of our writing app. The main reason is not that we want to force a certain look upon all users: what we want is that iA Writer works without settings without fumbling, that the only thing you can do with it is write. In the case of iOS, it is possible to adjust the text size system-wide via Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size.
iA Writer for Mac uses responsive design to change the font size. There's no need for settings, just adjust the size of your window!
