Ich habe ebenfalls Capture One Pro. Als DAM finde ich das aber suboptimal (für meine Verwendung).

Stattdessen versucht sie halt (ist ja klar), alles zu scannen und alle Fotos in die Cloud (Amazon) zu packen.
Mylio synchronisiert lokal im (W)LAN zwischen den Geräten. Da ist nichts mit Cloud, zumindest nicht in den Standardeinstellungen. Cloud ist nur optional, die ich nie verwendet habe.
Den Pfad kann man in Mylio dahin legen, wo man will.
Und dann hat man ein DAM. Kann aber genauso auf Dateisystemebene arbeiten, ohne das es so Nebeneffekte gibt wie bei Fotos.App, z.B. bekommt Fotos.App es nicht mit, wenn ein Foto im Dateisystem gelöscht oder hinzugefügt wird, ein Ordner umbenannt wird etc. (der entsprechende Haken bei Fotos.App in den Einstellungen ist nicht mehr als ein Witz) ...
