"Alt-Klick"-Download in Firefox funktioniert nicht (mehr)

Das praktische Kürzel, mit gedrückter Alt-Taste einen geklickten Link sofort herunterzuladen funktioniert seit geraumer Zeit nicht mehr.
Offenbar wurde die Einstellung mit FF13 standardmäßig auf deaktiviert gesetzt, in der about:config konnte man den Wert aber wieder auf "true" stellen, das hat bei mir aber leider nichts gebracht.

Firefox 13? Wir sind mittlerweile bei 53 ...
Aber das ändert wohl am Problem nichts. Scheint laut Internetrecherche tatsächlich seit Version 13 nicht mehr zu funktionieren. Ich habe es gerade ausprobiert: Bei mir klappt es, wenn ich die Funktion unter about:config aktiviere. Laut Internet scheint das Gelingen hier wohl von einer anderen Funktion abzuhängen:

While that was a suitable workaround, it seems as though there's an issue with it.

In firefox developer with multi-process on, this function does NOT work at all despite enabling it in about:config. If multi-process is turned off, it suddenly starts working again.

Would anyone know of any settings that are enabled by multi-process that would interfere with alt-clicking? I really want to have the best of worlds here, the ability to save with alt click AND have the fast performance of multi-process.

Vielleicht hilft dir aber auch eine Erweiterung wie diese hier.

Ah, danke für die Antwort! Habe tatsächlich Mehrkern-Modus aktiviert! Ich werd das Addon mal ausprobieren!

Was mach aber wundert: Version 53? Ich habe 45.0.2 und er meint, er wäre aktuell...!

Dann hast du ein stark veraltetes Betriebssystem oder ein andere Fehler verhindert, dass das Update angezeigt wird.
