Ich habe diese Frage schon im Apple-Forum gestellt und nicht nochmal übersetzt, aber ich denke, die meisten sind des Englischen mächtig:

I have an "ACARD ATA-100 AEC-6280M Version 1.0" PCI/IDE card installed in my G3 b/w rev 1 Mac. It is needed because of the defective IDE controller on the mainboard.
The printed manual, that came with the card, says that it's ATA-100 compatible. The standard "ATA-133" is not mentioned.
Looking at ACARD's site (http://www.acard.com.tw/english/fc0101.jsp), the 6280M is stated as to be ATA-133 compatible. When I download the manual, it always says ATA-133, but has the version number 1.1 (compared to 1.0 in my printed manual).
ATA-100 would mean: Not more than 128 GiByte.
ATA-133 would mean: more than 128 GiByte.
I am considering to buy a larger harddisk, so it is essential to know what size I could use. Are there two revisions of the 6280M? Or are there only two revisions of the manual? Or would it help to update the firmware in order to get ATA-133 compatibility?
Which harddisk manufacturer do you recommend? Maxtor? Hitachi? Samsung?
