„Search from Camino address bar
Finally! I've been using Camino on my mac because it's just woah faster than Firefox, but I've always been bothered by a handful of things. CamiTools took care of a bunch of them, like enabling flashblock. One of my favorite firefox features was missing, though - automatically using "I'm Feeling Lucky" in the address bar when you type things that aren't URLs. This feature is great because all of a sudden (as long as I trust Google), I no longer needed to remember URLs at all; I simply needed to remember something unique about the content of the page I was going to, which was easy since, if I was trying to go to a specific page, I obviously knew that it had some particular unique piece of information. I knew there must be a way to enable it from about:config, but googling found me nothing, and until today, I guess I never filtered the options with the right search to find what I wanted.
So - to all you Camino users, and all you would-be Camino users: to enable "I'm Feeling Lucky" from the address bar, take the following steps (do not include the quotation marks for any of the things you type in):
1. Go to the address bar, type "about:config" and hit enter.
2. Find the "keyword.enabled" option, and set it to true. At this point, typing non-URL strings in the address bar will take you to a Google search. If you want it to redirect to the "I'm Feeling Lucky" result, proceed with the next step.
3. Change the value of "keyword.URL" to "http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&btnI=Camino&q="
Done! Now try typing random phrases intot he address bar, and see where it takes you.

Das ist toll! Ich tippe macuser ein und lande bei macuser.de... Das ist noch viel komfortabler als in Safari, wo ich ja wissen muss, wie die Url beginnt. (Vielleicht lässt sich das Feature auch für Safari anwenden.)
