Hallo,

Ich habe Probleme mit den Berechtigungen in Adobe PS Elements 10, Programm sagt, dass ich nicht die Rechte habe, die Voreinstellungen zu speichern.
Habe nun die Empfehlung erhalten, dass meine Berechtigung auf meinem User (=adminuser) durch Eigabe des Befehls "sudo chown -R BENUTZERNAME /User/BENUTZERNAME" im Terminal repariert werden können und es dann funktionieren könnte.
Kann mir das ein Experte aus diesem Forum bitte bestätigen?
Bin leider nicht sehr talentiert mit Mac OS X und möchte da nichts falsch machen.

Hallo Mimali,

welche Fehlermeldung erhältst du bei Photoshop Elements genau, kannst du bitte einen Screenshot posten?
Der Befehl ist so nicht ganz richtig, der Pfad heißt /Users/BENUTZERNAME. Aber bevor du mit rekursiver Rechtevergabe hantierst würd ich erst mal "mit sanfteren Methoden" schauen was Sache ist. Wenn du dich damit vertust kannst du sonst nämlich leicht dein System zerschießen.

Hallo Andy 42,
danke für die promte Antwort.
Das Problem ist, dass ich Adobe Photoshop Elements als APP im APP Store gekauft habe und auf meinem User installiert (heruntergeladen).
Das Programm funktioniert, bis auf eine Einschränkung: Beendet man das programm, dann kommt eine Fehlermeldung: Voreinstellungn können nicht gespeichert werden, da keine ausreichende Berechtigung.
Dies führt dann dazu, dass das Programm ca. 2 min für jeden Start benötigt, da alle Modelle usw. wie bei einem erststart aufgebaut werden müssen. Weiters müssen wieder alle Voreinstellungen gemacht werden.

Im Adobe Forum habe ich dann den Tipp erhalten, das Programm von einem neuen Adminuser zu installieren. Das funktioniert auch, das Programm kann dort normal (ohne den beschriebenen Fehler) ausgeführt werden. Auf meinem alten user bleibt das Problem allerdings bestehen.

Ich poste den Mailverkehr mit Adobe Forum der Vollständigkeit anbei. Wäre für jede Anregung dankbar. Würde auch der Empfehlung im Adobe Forum alternativ folgen (von neuem user weiterarbeiten), alerdings stehe ich da auch an, wenn es darum geht alle Daten (Aperture 3 libary, itunes und ander Daten) auf den neuen user hinüber zu leiten.

hi,

i just downloaded the programm yesterday from the app store onto my imac. i want to use it as an extention to my aperture 3.

I have the following questions/problems:

+ starting the programm takes at least 2 minutes, is this normal? I use an Imac Quadcore I7 with 12 gb onboard

+ the preferences: i can only extend the used memory up to 3gb, although i have 12 gb on board?

+ I can not store the preferences, when I shut the programm down, it tells me I do not have the legitimation to store the preferences?!

+ panorama foto work is mostly running out of memory?! 12gb on board


Please can anybody help me?

Well, PSE is a 32 bit program which means that the 3GB is as far as it goes, but it shouldn't be so slow. Did you install just PSE or the PSE/PRE bundle?

First, go to the organizer's preferences and make sure that the auto-analyzer isn't running (under media analysis).


Did you install from/are you running from an administrative account?

the programm adobe elements (is this what you mean) is not part of the download; this is what is said in the app store;

only adobe photoshop elements 10 was downloades in the apple app store.

Yes, for the app store version just move it to the trash (it's different from the regular version).


No, you won't have to buy it again. Log into your app store account and you should see it under Purchased, then you just download it again without having to pay.

ok, thank you barbara, it works on the new account. but how can i make it run ok on my (normaly used) account, whre i have my pictures and aperture 3?

No, it does not work on the other account. Problem is still/again the same. In the new account it works perfekt.

Then the problem is probably a conflict with something in the old account. You can spend many, many hours trying to track down what it is, or you could transfer all your documents and such to the new account and use that one.

wenns bei einem anderen Benutzer problemlos funktioniert, ist höchstwahrscheinlich in einem Teil deines Benutzerprofils, in der sogenannten Library, der Hund begraben. Gehe mal in deine Library (Benutzer -> BENUTZERNAME -> Library, unter Lion Alt+Menü Gehe zu -> Library) und schau nach, ob es dort einen Ordner Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 10 oder ähnlich gibt. Falls ja, versuch diesen umzubenennen, zb indem du .old anhängst - er wird beim nächsten Programmstart neu angelegt. Vermutlich ist dein Problem dann damit schon behoben, ansonsten kann es sein dass noch eine Einstellungsdatei (plist) fehlerhaft ist. In deiner Library unter Preferences liegen diverse Dateien, die mit com.adobe. anfangen, darunter müsste eine für PSE sein. Benenn diese ebenfalls um und versuchs dann noch mal.

Ich habe mir jetzt nicht den ganzen Schriftverkehr durchgelesen, daher nur meine Vermutung:

Wenn der Befehl sudo chown -R BENUTZERNAME /Users/BENUTZERNAME helfen soll (laut Empfehlung), müsste das Problem auftreten, weil bei irgendeiner Datei/Ordner im Home-Verzeichnis der Besitzer (owner) falsch gesetzt ist. Genauso gut könnte es meiner Meinung nach aber sein, dass der Besitzer einer Datei/eines Ordners korrekt gesetzt ist aber die Zugriffsrechte des Besitzers falsch sind, denn auch dann könnte das Photoshop auf Grund mangelnder Rechte nicht auf die Datei/den Ordner zugreifen. In diesem Falle würde der Befehl überhaupt nicht helfen, hier müsstest du mit dem Terminal-Befehl chmod die Rechte der Datei/des Ordners anpassen (Vorsicht, nicht einfach mit chmod rekursiv die Rechte des ganzen Benutzerordners ändern!).

Nun zur Problemlösung: Wenn ein Problem mit fehlenden/falschen Rechten im Benutzerverzeichnis vorliegt und das den Fehler verursacht, ist eine Neuinstallation des Programms mit einem anderem Administratoraccount sinnlos, da das nicht das Rechteproblem löst. Kurz gesagt, auch ohne Neuinstallation mit anderem Administratoraccount sollte der Fehler bei einem anderen Account nicht auftreten. Wie kann man das Problem nun angehen? Entweder du erstellst einen anderen Administratoraccount, überträgst deine gesamten Daten an den neuen Administrator, löschst den alten Account und arbeitest du mit dem neuen Account weiter oder du findest die Datei/Ordner mit den falschen Rechten. Vermutlich liegt die Datei/der Ordner, der das Problem verursacht, in deiner Library (den dort speichern Programme normalerweise unter anderem ihre Einstellungsdaten). Da ich nicht weiß, was Photoshop dort normalerweise speichert, solltest du am besten mal versuchen in Erfahrung zu bringen, in welchen Ordnern der Library Photoshop versucht Dateien anzulegen (am besten den Adobe-Support fragen, da die ihr Programm wohl am besten kennen). Dann solltest du prüfen, ob du bei den betreffenden Ordnern/Dateien als Besitzer eingetragen ist und ob du über genügend Rechte verfügst (Lese- und Schreibrechte). Eventuell kann es auch nützlich sein, die Ordner, die Adobe in der Library angelegt hat, einfach mal zu löschen (werden bei Bedarf von Adobe wieder neu angelegt) und nur die Ordnerrechte der Ordner, in denen diese Ordner angelegt wurden, zu überprüfen.

Edit: Der von andi42 genannte Ordner und die Plist-Datei ist ein guter Tipp
