speichererweiterung ibook

bei DSP gibt es die 512 MB speicherweiterung für 90 euro. klasse!
bei gravis heisst das ganze leider ...PC133... und bei DSP ...PC100...
ist das ein problem. sollte man die speichererweiterung unbedingt bei einem autorisierten apple-dealer kaufen?

in der beschreibung von meinem ibook steht, das es kompatibel zu PC100 modulen ist,also sind PC133 nicht nötig (laufen möglicherweise nicht?!)

PC133-Module laufen in 133-MHz-Boards und sind abwärtskompatibel zu 100MHz- und 66MHz-Boards,
PC100 Module laufen in 100MHz-Boards und sind abwärtskompatibel zu 66MHz-Boards, laufen aber nicht in 133MHz-Boards.
PC66-Module laufen nur in 66MHz-Boards.

Das iBook hat 100MHz Speicherbus, also laufen PC100- und PC133-Module.

(Nicht nur nach den Regeln der Prädikatenlogik, sondern auch in der Praxis)

Das stimmt nicht ganz PC100 Module laufen sehr wohl in 133MHz-Boards, hängen aber von Leistung her den PC133 Modulen hinterher.

Wenn man den Systembus auf 100MHz runterdreht, laufen die dort auch. Das mag sein.

Allerdings habe ich noch keinen Freak gesehen, der einen PC100er mit 133 MHz stabil betrieben hat.

Seit dem iBook (Dual USB) beläuft sich die "RAM Speed" auf PC100. In Bezug auf PC133 Module schreibt Apple folgendes:

"22. While PC133-compliant memory is generally acceptable, if the computer has a bus speed slower than 133 MHz, it will make use of either PC100 or PC133 memory at the bus speed of the computer."

Meine Freundin hat bereits vor gut einem Jahr einen Speicherbaustein bei dsp-info.com bzw. dsp-memory.de gekauft. Das Modul arbeitet immer noch ohne Probleme in ihrem iBook.
