Heute Morgen wollte ich mir ein paar alte Filme meiner Digitalkamera anschauen. Diese habe ich damals auf eine DVD gebrannt. Kurz nach dem ich die DVD in meinen iMac (i7) rein geschoben habe und den VLC Media Player zum abspielen ausgwähtle verfärbte sich der Bildschirm von oben nach unten grau. Der Mauszeiger ließ sich nicht mehr bewegen und ich wurde in mehreren sparchen aufgefordert den Computer über den Powerschalter neu zu starten.

Nach dem Neustart wurde automatisch ein Bericht an Apple geschickt.

Habt Ihr eine Ahnung woran das liegen kann? Ich tippe mal, dass es irgendwie mit den Videofiles oder dem VLC Player zusammenhing. VLC habe ich zwischenzeitlich aktualisiert. Evtl. kann es auch mit den vielen Speicherintensiven Programmen zusammenhängen, die ich während der letzten Tage eingesetzt habe (iMovie, Lightroom, Photoshop...). Kann es sein, dass sich das System da irgendwie "verschluckt" hat und irgendwelche Daten nicht richtig aus dem Speicher gelöscht hat?

Was mich wie gesagt wundert ist, dass die die erste Fehlermeldung dieser Art ist. Vergleichbar mit einem Bluescreen bei Windows, da mir nur noch der Neustart aus Option bleibt.

Ich hoffe, dass es das einzige Vorkommnis dieser Art war. Genau wegen solcher Macken habe ich mich vor 5 Monaten von Windows verabschiedet.

Habt Ihr eine Idee woher diese Fehlermeldung kommt?

Das ist eine Kernel Panic.
Vielleicht findest du einen Hinweis, wo der Verursacher zu finden ist in den LogDateien, dort dann speziell im PanicLog.
Programme/Dienstprogramme/Konsole, dort die Protokolle.
KernelPanic können sowohl von Hard- als auch von der Software ausgelöst werden.
 
das ist eine kernel panic.
die panic log sollte dir aufschluss geben, was die ursache war...
 
Kernel Panik hört sich aber nicht so gut an.... Hoffe mal es ist VLC Player gewesen. :rolleyes:

das ist nicht das richtige log file...
es sollte unter /Library/Diagnosticsreport sein
 
ist wohl ein allgemeines VLC Problem, das hatte ich auch schon allerdings bei einem image von einer DVD

Am besten mal das System sauber installieren.
 
Abgesehen von VLC Problemen, taucht auch BetterTouchTool ständig mit Fehlern auf.
Das Ding ist doch nichtmal beta, oder täusche ich mich?

Hallo noch mal...

unter /Library/Diagnosticsreport habe ich nichts gefunden. Bzw. es gibt dort keinen Ordner Diagnosticsreport. Kann das auch wo anders sein?

Parallels Desktop kann auch in Frage kommen. Habe da schon so einige Ungereimtheiten entdeckt. Da ich das Tool eh nur während meiner Umstiegsphase benutzt habe. werde ich es jetzt eh runter schmeißen. Ich schau mal ob ich hier im Forum eine Anleitung zur sauberen Deinstallation finde.

Was mit BettetTouch ist kann ich auch nicht sagen. Das Programm läuft aber soweit bei mir stabil.

In der Konsole sollte es auch zu finden sein.
Dort dann ProtokollDateien und dort unter /Library/Logs, dort sollte der PanicReporter zu finden sein.
 
Ich habe jetzt mal in der Konsole geschaut. Dort gibt es die Option "Protokollliste einblenden". Dies habe ich gemacht und sehe unter dem Verzeichnis "DATEIEN" einen "system.log" und zwei "/Libary/Logs".

In den zwei Lidary/Logs sind aber keine Daten zu finden. Kann es sein, dass nichts abgelegt wurde?

Wie gesagt wurde nach dem Neustart eine Datei zu Apple geschickt. Bleibt diese Datei auf dem System erhalten? Könntet Ihr mit dieser mehr anfangen?

So oder ähnlich sollte es aussehen, wenn man aufs Dreieck klickt sollte die dahinter verborgenen Logs auftauchen.
/Library/Log ist das systemweite Log, ~/Library/Log ist das benutzerbezogene.
Das PanicLog sollte im systemweiten liegen.

Entschuldigung, ich habe mich falsch ausgedrückt. Das Programm (BTT) hat bei meinen Macs bisher keinerlei sichtbare Probleme gezeigt. Kann mir aber auch nicht vorstellen, dass die Kernel Panic vom BTT verursacht wurde. Sonnst wären wohl noch einige mehr davon betroffen.

/Library/Log ist das systemweite Log, ~/Library/Log ist das benutzerbezogene.
Das PanicLog sollte im systemweiten liegen.

Genau so sieht es bei mir auch aus. Es werden aber keine weiteren Dateien/Logs angezeigt wenn ich auf eines der Dreiecke klicke. So als ob keine Dateien im Unterverzeichnis sind. Gibt es noch einen anderen Ort für die Logfiles oder verstehe ich es nur nicht?

Ich muss mich verbessern...Den Ordner "Protokolldateien" habe ich gar nicht auf meinem iMac. Auch unter Spotlight ist dieser nicht zu finden.

Noch jemand eine Idee???

der heißt ja auch nicht so im filesystem...
such doch mit spotlight nach Logs
 
Sorry, auch wenn ich "logs" eingebe kommt nichts...Seltsam.

So, habe jetz mal Parallels Desktop 5 runter geschmissen...Habs eh nicht mehr benutzt. Bisher keine Probleme mehr mit der Kiste. Hoffe mal dass die meine einzige Kernel Panic war. Brauche die Kiste dringend zum Arbeiten, da stört sowas nur ;-)
