Problem Platte mit Parallels nachträglich vergrößern

Hallo,

habe zu dem Problem noch nichts konkretes gefunden. Wenn da doch was sein sollte, Sorry.
Zum Problem: Habe jetzt Win XP mit Parallels installiert. Mit dem Image Tool habe ich dann nachträglich die Platte auf 15 GB erweitert. Wird mir auch in dem VM Überblick angezeigt. Wenn ich jedoch Win XP starte, dann hat die Platte weiterhin nur 8 GB. Warum??

Soviel ich weiss, wird die Partition von Parallels dynamisch verwaltet, d.h. sie wächst erst bei Bedarf. Wenn du 15 GB eingibst, ist dies lediglich die maximale zur Verfügung gestellte Grösse.

Im Parallels Forum (http://forums.parallels.com) gibt es eine Anleitung dazu. Kann den Link im Moment nicht heraussuchen,da das Forum irgendwie hängt.
Einfach mal "HD size" o.ä. in die Suche eigeben, dann solltest Du fündig werden.

Das Verhalten ist völlig normal. Du hast jetzt zwar die Virtuelle Platte vergrößert, aber nicht die Partition, auf der Windows installiert ist.
Starte unter Windows mal die Datenträgerverwaltung (über Systemsteuerung -> Verwaltung -> Computerverwaltung). Dann siehst Du, das die restlichen 7GB jetzt nicht formatiert sind.
Du benötigst ein (PC) Tool (ich meine PartitionMagic kann da z.B.), was das ändern kann.

Mit Partition Magic geht es sicher auch aber kostenlos geht es so (Zitat aus dem Parallels Forum):

"I successfully resized my Windows 2003 installation today using the following process.
Copy the HDD drive image file and rename
Use Image Tools to resize the original HDD file
Change your VM profile to boot off of the copied HDD image and add the original, resized image as a second hard disk
Once booted, open CMD prompt and run DISKPART
View volumes in DISKPART with the command list volume. Note which volume is your original, resized partition
Select that partition using the DISKPART command select volume # where # is the partition number.
Enter the command extend
Enter the command exit
Exit Windows and change the VM profile to once again boot from the original, resized image file. You can disconnect (and delete?) the copied image file from the VM profile.

I don't know if DISKPART can be used on Windows XP, etc. but I know that you can download it from Microsoft. Google diskpart windows download.

Genauso habe ich es gemacht und es hat wunderbar funktioniert.
