Powerbook/VLC mit Superdrive spielt keine SVCD's?!?

Hallo zusammen!
Hab desöfteren SVCD's, die vom VLC Player nicht erkannt werden. Die Windoofs inna Uni lachen schon!!! Das geht gaaar nicht klar.
Beim letzten Mal habe ich einen kleinen Umweg über Toast gemacht:
Da habe ich die Datei (AVSEQ01.mpg) in meinen Toast6 gezogen, ein Image auf Festplatte gemacht und die .toast datei einfach in .bin umbenannt... ;-)
Das klappt jetzt aber nicht!! Sehr eigenartig.
Toast gibt folgende Fehlermeldung von sich.
The file "AVSEQ01.mpg" could not be accessed. (Data fork, -36)

Wenn ich die Datei mit VLC öffnen will, erscheint folgender Fehler:

Hmm, bei manchen SVCDs liegt es daran, das sie die Datei nicht richtig lesen lässt. Hast du es mal mit nem DVD-Player versucht?

mein dvd player ist ein sony von 1999 oder so und spielt nix gebranntes. nur original zeugs...
die datei läuft aufm medion laptop von meinem nachbarn einwandfrei. *schluchz*

Mit DVD-Player meinte ich einen Software DVD-Player aufm Book...

Hatte ich schon mal... Jetzt gerade trotzdem nochmal probiert, aber der spielt ja grundsätzlich nur video ts ab.
Es geht wie gesagt um SVCD's...

Hast Du im VLC auch gesagt "Volume öffnen"?? Wenns trotzdem nicht geht dann kopier mit VCDCopy X das mpg auf die Platte dann kannst Du's sicher anschauen.
