Thank you for contacting us at E-MU Customer Support.
One of the recommended suggestions before installing your card on Mac is to ensure that your OS is fully updated.
In our experience, this really contributes to make your system more stable at any given circumstance.
* Use Apple's automatic software updated as the starting point before installing the card.
* Where there's no sufficient current coming from your usb port, it is best to temporarily disconnect unnecessary usb devices.
* Test the card on a powered usb hub, this is good if you'r running multiple usb devices.
* Make use of the firmware update which can be done by installing the latest driver.
* If not, we suggest that you test and compare the Tracker Pre USB using windows environment. Using this method, we can easily isolate the current problem whether it is related to the card or your system.
* Ensure that your booting on the 32-bit kernel mode.
* Access Mac's system profiler, on the contents panel, go the USB section and verify the status of the Tracker Pre USB 2.0
and see if the unit is listed.
* If not, we suggest that you test and compare the results on the 0404 USB 2.0 using windows environment.
Should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
