Final Cut Por x import problem

Ich habe schon seit einiger Zeit das Problem, dass ich bei angeschlossener USB Platte keine
Medien in FCP importieren kann. Googeln bring leider nichts. Ich habe zwar mal einen Thread
dazu gesehen, das war man aber auch noch auf der Suche nach der Ursache. Inzwischen finde
ich den Thread nicht mehr. Hat jemand eine Ahnung, woran das Importproblem liegen könnte?

Figured out why my drive was getting the spinning ball of death. Turns out if you have a folder from your camera in the root directory of your external drive, Final cut will treat the entire device as a camera and try to scan for all compatible media. Of course the drive being 2 TB makes it take forever to do the scan! Once i moved the rogue directory to a subdirectory and out of the ROOT directory of the drive, Final cut correctly detects it as a normal drive and the dreaded hanging import spinning ball of death goes away.
